About Maracuja
Maracuja feels like it has always been part of Williamsburg, and in many ways it has — the space began as a Lithuanian social club in the 1940s and ran under the same owners from 1995 onward. In 2021 it reopened under two longtime regulars: Erik Plambeck, a veteran of Keith McNally’s Schiller’s Liquor Bar and The Ten Bells, and musician Kelly Winrich of Delta Spirit. A condition of the sale was that they keep it an affordable, neighborhood business — no tearing it down for condos.
Update (July 2026): the kitchen has closed — Maracuja no longer serves food. A reader reported it from the bar this month, and the venue’s own site currently posts no menu, so we’ve retired every food recommendation below. What remains is a small, well-priced operation built around natural wine and classic cocktails.
