The place to watch Manchester City in NYC is Amity Hall Downtown at 80 W 3rd St in Greenwich Village, official home of the New York Sky Blues since 2018 — a 235-member branch founded in 2007, registered as a 501(c)(3), where a $25 membership gets you 10% off your tab on matchdays. Now the thing every other list repeats without checking: Amity Hall's published weekend opening is 11am, which does not cover a 7:30am or a 10am kickoff. The club says the venue opens early for morning games; nobody publishes a time. For a dawn kickoff, The Football Factory at Legends is the only Manhattan room with 7am in writing — and no City group meets there. Below: five verified rooms and the honest trade-off between allegiance and logistics across five Man City bars NYC can actually get into.

Amity Hall Downtown On now

Greenwich Village, the Sky Blues' home since 2018 · 80 W 3rd St $$$
Members get 10% off the tab on matchdays · happy hour window Mon–Fri 12–7pmdrafts $8–$10
Early kickoffsOpens 11am at weekends — they open earlier for morning games but publish no time

The Verdict: the rare case where the bar and the supporters club both say it out loud. Amity Hall calls itself the official home of the New York City branch of the Manchester City Supporters Club, showing every match, no exceptions; the Sky Blues say the same from their side. They have been here since 2018, after the Mad Hatter in Kips Bay. Ten-plus TVs and two of the biggest projector screens in the Village. The Local Move: membership is $25 early-bird or $30 from September, and it gets you 10% off your tab on matchdays — it pays for itself in about three visits. The Honest Caveat: the published weekend door is 11am. The club's FAQ says the venue opens at least half an hour before kickoff and closer to kickoff for early morning matches, but nobody publishes a number. For a 7:30am game, ring 212-677-2290 first.

Midtown, and the early-kickoff problem

Two big Midtown rooms. Neither hosts a City group, and one of them solves the 7:30am problem. See also the best sports bars in NYC.

The Football Factory at Legends

Midtown, the only published 7am door · 6 W 33rd St $$$
No published happy hour—
Early kickoffsYes — 7am Saturday, 9am Sunday. Closes 7pm both days

The Verdict: the answer to the one problem the Sky Blues' home room cannot solve. Amity Hall opens at 11am on paper; Legends publishes 7am on Saturday and 9am on Sunday. If City draw the dawn slot and you cannot get a straight answer on the phone, this is where you go. The Why it is worth stating plainly: we read the full supporters-group roster here — around thirty clubs, Chelsea and Newcastle and Palace and Fulham and Villa among them — and Manchester City is not on it. So you get the early door and twenty big screens, and no City crowd. The Honest Caveat: closes 7pm at weekends, and it is 21+.

Smithfield Hall

Chelsea, 26 screens, no City group · 138 W 25th St $$$
No published happy hour — pints $7.50–$12, cocktails $14–$16menu prices
Early kickoffsNot published — there are no opening hours on their site at all

The Verdict: the biggest screen count on this page and the most honest warning label. Twenty-six TVs and two bars inside, twenty-seven tables, eight more screens and nine heated tables outside — all from their own site. Nine supporters clubs meet here and City is not one of them, so this is a room to watch the match in, not a room to sing in. The Honest Caveat, straight from Smithfield's own football page: the fixtures listing does not guarantee a TV for all games. On a crowded Saturday with three clubs in, a City game can lose the room. Email hello@smithfieldnyc.com and reserve. They publish no hours and no happy hour, whatever you have read elsewhere.

Brooklyn and Queens

Two outer-borough rooms worth the trip. More in our Brooklyn and Queens guides.

Banter

Williamsburg, doors 15 minutes before kickoff · 132 Havemeyer St $$$
No happy hour — breakfast to 11am, sandwiches $8, Bloody Mary $12morning menu
Early kickoffsYes — published policy: doors 15 minutes before kick-off, any fixture

The Verdict: if you live in Brooklyn, this beats crossing the river. Banter publishes the most useful sentence of any bar in this research — open early for all English Premier League and international soccer, doors fifteen minutes before kick-off — and it means it, despite posted hours of 2pm to midnight. Breakfast until 11am at $8 a sandwich, $12 Bloody Marys, twenty-four taps, CNN top-ten by their own citation. The Honest Caveat: it is small, about eighty standing, no phone published, and it is Brooklyn Spurs' home room. On a City–Spurs day you are outnumbered and the beer is still good.

Rivercrest On now

Astoria, 3,000 sq ft with the sound on · 33-15 Ditmars Blvd $$$
$6 16oz drafts, $12 tap cocktails, $7 wine, $5 Jäger shotsMon–Fri to 7pm & Mon–Thu 10pm–2am
Early kickoffsNo — opens 11am Saturday and Sunday

The Verdict: the best value on this page by a distance, and the only room in this whole research that states in writing that it shows matches with the sound on. Six-dollar sixteen-ounce drafts, $12 cocktails on tap, $7 wine and $5 Jäger shots, from open until 7pm Monday to Friday, then again 10pm to 2am Monday to Thursday. Monday is a burger, fries and a draft for $18. Three thousand square feet, indoors and out, reservations accepted. The Honest Caveat and it is unavoidable: the happy hour is weekdays only and the weekend door is 11am. This is your midweek Champions League room, not your Saturday morning one.

Watching Manchester City in NYC: FAQ

Where is the official Manchester City supporters club bar in NYC?

Amity Hall Downtown at 80 W 3rd St in Greenwich Village, home of the New York Sky Blues since 2018. The branch was founded in 2007, has 235 members on Manchester City's own directory, and is a registered 501(c)(3) that has raised over $155,000 for charity. The bar states on its own site that it is the official home of the NYC branch and shows every match, no exceptions.

What does New York Sky Blues membership cost and what do you get?

$25 early-bird or $30 from September for adults, $20–$25 for ages 17–21 and over-60s, and free for under-16s. The most useful benefit is 10% off your tab at Amity Hall on matchdays. Membership also brings Etihad ticket applications, priority seating for finals, members-only events and player meet-and-greets, and it is tax-deductible.

Does Amity Hall open early for Manchester City morning kickoffs?

It does, but no time is published. Amity Hall's posted weekend hours are 11am on both Saturday and Sunday, which does not cover a 7:30am or 10am kickoff. The Sky Blues' own FAQ says the venue opens at least half an hour before kickoff and “closer to kickoff” for early morning matches. Call 212-677-2290 to confirm before a dawn game. No reservations are required.

Which NYC bar opens earliest for a Premier League kickoff?

The Football Factory at Legends at 6 W 33rd St, which publishes 7am on Saturday and 9am on Sunday — the only early door in Manhattan stated in writing. It closes at 7pm on both weekend days. Note that City is not among the roughly thirty supporters groups that meet there, so you get the early opening and the screens without a City crowd. In Brooklyn, Banter opens 15 minutes before any kick-off.

Can you drink at 7:30am in New York for an early kickoff?

Not right away. New York State licenses on-premises alcohol from 8am Monday through Saturday and not until 10am on Sunday, in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens alike. A 7:30am Saturday kickoff therefore starts with coffee and the taps open at 8am, and a 7:30am Sunday kickoff means no alcohol until the second half. It is why bars with early doors build breakfast menus.
