Stone Street
Happy Hour
The oldest paved street in New York, seven verified happy hours, and a $12 twelve-inch pizza that nobody on the block advertises.
Most Stone Street happy hours run 3–7pm — Mad Dog starts earliest at 2:30pm.
- 15 verified spots
- beer from $6
- oysters from $1.50
- 4 rooms changed hands
Stone Street happy hour is easier to get wrong than any block in New York, because half of what is published about it is three years old. The verified list right now: Route 66 runs Mon–Fri 3–7pm at $6 beer and $8 wells — and all day Tuesday. Adrienne’s Pizzabar quietly does 3–6pm with $6 drafts and a $12 twelve-inch pie. Mad Dog & Beans opens earliest at 2:30pm, bar only. Harry’s Side Bar goes daily 4–5pm and again 10–11pm, with $2 oysters every Monday. And the best deal down here is not on the street at all — Fraunces Tavern pours $1.50 oysters Mon–Fri 4–7pm, two blocks south. Below: all fifteen rooms, a map, what changed on the block, and the four deals we deleted this week.

The real happy hours on the block
Seven rooms on Stone Street with a window we could verify. Prices come from each venue’s own menu unless the card says otherwise. For the wider neighbourhood, see our FiDi happy hour guide.
Route 66 American Kitchen & Bar On now
The Verdict: the best-documented happy hour on Stone Street, and the only one that prints every price on its own menu. $6 beer, $8 well drinks, $9 chardonnay or cabernet, $10 frozen margaritas, and a $12 66 Pilsner with a shot of Jim Beam or Espolón. Wine bottles drop to $30. The Local Move: come on a Tuesday. “Tipsy Tuesday” runs happy-hour pricing all day, from 11:30am to close — nine extra hours of $6 beer, and nobody on the block advertises it. The beer garden is open year-round, so this is also the one Stone Street room that works in February. The Honest Caveat: we previously listed a second 10pm–close window here. It appears nowhere on Route 66’s own site or drinks menu, so we removed it on 10 August 2026. If a bartender honours it, treat it as a bonus, not a plan.

Adrienne’s Pizzabar On now
The Verdict: the best-value happy hour on Stone Street is at the pizza place, and almost nobody knows it. 3–6pm gets you $6 Peroni, Blue Moon, Stella, Bronx IPA or Narragansett on draft, $8 wine by the glass, $10 gin and tonics and margaritas, $12 espresso martinis and Aperol spritzes — and, the actual headline, a $12 twelve-inch Harry’s American Bar Pie. Fried potatoes are $5, tiramisu is $5, and the arancini and wings run $10. The Why: that is a full meal and a drink for about $18 on the most touristed block in the Financial District. The Honest Caveat: the menu (dated 26 April 2026) prints the 3–6pm window but names no days. Adrienne’s is open seven days from 11:30am, so we list it as daily — worth one question at the bar if you are making a weekend trip for it. Until today this page said Adrienne’s had no happy hour. That was wrong, and this is the correction.

Mad Dog & Beans On now
The Verdict: four hours of $6 Mexican beer and $10 house margaritas, starting at 2:30pm — the earliest real start on the block. Food matters here too: $5 chips and salsa, $8 party-style cheese quesadillas, $10 queso and chips. The Honest Caveat, and it is the important one: the menu says AT THE BAR ONLY, in capitals. Sit at one of the picnic tables outside and you pay full price. This is the single most common way people miss a Stone Street deal. One more: Mad Dog’s own homepage says Tuesday–Thursday while its FiDi menu and its 2026-dated happy-hour PDF both say Monday–Thursday. We publish the menu’s Monday start because it is the more specific document, but if you are making a special trip on a Monday, call first. The Local Move: Trivia Tuesdays at 7pm, run by the NYC Trivia League — that is the FiDi room, not the Midtown one.

Harry’s Side Bar On now
The Verdict: one hour early, one hour late, seven days a week — the most useful shape of happy hour on the block if you work down here. $12 gets you an Aperol Spritz, a classic Negroni, a Side Bar Mule or a Padua Paloma. Dips go half price: $7 onion with potato chips, $8 baked pimento cheese, $9 warm spinach and artichoke. The Local Move: Mondays are the reason to plan around this place — $2 oysters all night, with live jazz guitar from 6 to 9pm. That is the cheapest oyster on or near Stone Street and it runs long after the 5pm bell. The Honest Caveat: the sommelier-selected wines are on the happy-hour list with no price published, so ask before you order. Also note we previously listed this as Mon–Sat at 93 Pearl St. It is daily, and the address is 62 Stone Street — both corrected today.

Havana Social On now
The Verdict: five hours is the longest happy-hour window on Stone Street, and it includes Sunday — which we had missed until today. $9 house shots, $10 house wine, $12 frozen drinks, 2–7pm, Sunday through Wednesday. Skip the beer bucket. The “5 for $35” bucket appears on the happy-hour list at exactly the price it costs the rest of the week — it is on their own regular drinks menu at $35. That is a listing, not a discount, and we are not going to call it one. The real savings are the shots and the frozens (down from $14). The Local Move: Margarita Mondays are $10 margaritas and frozen margaritas all day, and Taco Tuesday is $4 tacos all day — both better value than the nominal happy hour. Wednesday brings live mariachi and free karaoke from 7pm, no cover.

Beckett’s Sports Bar On now
The Verdict: the nightly specials are real and priced; the famous 2:30–6:30pm happy hour is not something we can currently stand behind. Beckett’s own happy-hour page now returns a 404, and the only place still publishing that window is the block’s promo site, which is running three-year-old prices elsewhere. So we have pulled it back to what the venue itself prints. What is verified: Monday is Lobster & Cocktail Hour, $12 cocktails from 3 to 9pm — six hours, the longest priced window on the block. Tuesday $10 margaritas and $7 tequila. Wednesday $1.50 wings (six minimum), $6 house shots, $6 fries. Thursday $14 martinis, or steak frites and a martini for $45. Friday a domestic beer and a shot for $15. The Honest Caveat: only Monday carries a published time, so the badge on this card fires Mondays only. The $12 Spritz Blitz is outdoor-dining season only, by their own note.

Stone Street Tavern On now
The Verdict: a long weekday window and total silence on what it costs. The only first-party source is Stone Street Tavern’s own catering menu, which prints “HAPPY HOUR MON – FRI 11 AM – 7 PM.” Their drinks and food menus have no happy-hour section at all, and the page on their site titled “Happy Hour” loads the homepage copy instead. What we removed today: this page used to say Sun–Wed 2–7pm with $10–11 cocktails. That traces to a March 2023 post on the block’s promo site, and it contradicts the venue’s own Mon–Fri window. It is gone. The Honest Caveat: their doors open at 11:30am, not 11am, so we run the badge from 11:30. Go anyway if you want the biggest stretch of outdoor tables on the block — just ask what the happy-hour price actually is before you order a round.
No happy hour — go anyway
Four rooms with nothing discounted and a real reason to walk in. Two of them are the block’s best drinks bars. More rooms like these in our best cocktail bars in NYC guide.
Ulysses’ Folk House
The Verdict: no happy hour, and it does not need one. Ulysses’ is open until 4am, seven nights, which on a block where most kitchens shut by 11pm makes it the default answer to “where now?” What is actually worth planning around: Lobster Monday — a 1.5lb Maine lobster with a baked potato, corn on the cob and a pint of Guinness for $26 — and Oyster Wednesday, half a dozen oysters with a pint of Guinness for $21. Those are the only two weekly specials they publish, and neither carries a time window. The Honest Caveat: regular pricing is not cheap — $9 drafts, $15–18 cocktails — so come for the specials or come late, not for a bargain at 6pm. A correction we owe you: our own venue profile has been listing that oyster-and-Guinness plate at $12, all day. It is $21, on Wednesdays. We are fixing it.

Mexi Stone Street
The Verdict: the most interesting thing to open on Stone Street in years, and it is not running a deal. Mexi took the 57 Stone Street space that Gran Vía left, and brought a serious agave programme with it — somewhere around 400 mezcals and tequilas, in a room styled after Mérida rather than after a beer hall. The Honest Caveat, and it is a trap we nearly fell into: Mexi’s website does publish a happy hour, 3–7pm Tuesday to Sunday — but it sits in the hours block for their Brooklyn room on North 9th Street. Stone Street does not open until 4pm, so a 3pm start is impossible here. No happy hour is published for Manhattan. The Local Move: it is walk-ins only, seven days from 4pm, with lunch Wednesday to Saturday from noon. Go on a weeknight and ask the bartender to pour you something you cannot get uptown.
mexi.nyc · See our best tacos in NYC
The Bedford Stone Street
The Verdict: the best-made drink on Stone Street, at Stone Street’s highest prices, in the least Stone Street room on the block. Roughly 40 rums and cane spirits and 80 agave spirits from 14 Mexican states, in a 1930s ocean-liner interior, from the group behind The Dead Rabbit with Atomic Hospitality. It replaced Underdog in December 2024. The Honest Caveat: there is no happy hour here, and there is a trap in checking — thebedford.nyc does publish a weekday 4–7pm happy hour, but that page is headed “Brooklyn” and belongs to 110 Bedford Avenue. Nothing applies at 55 Stone Street. One more: their own hours block says 4pm daily while their own lunch menu says lunch runs Wednesday to Saturday from noon. If you want a midday drink, ring first. Go Here Instead of the picnic tables when you actually want to taste what you are drinking.

Brandy’s
The Verdict: a lot of room and nothing discounted, in the space that has now burned through three concepts in three years. Brandy’s runs about 5,000 square feet across a main bar, a back room, a living room and a patio — 350 standing. Drafts are mostly $9 (Lagunitas $8), cocktails $16, wine by the glass $12. No happy hour appears anywhere on their site. The Honest Caveat: they are closed Sundays, and their own event deck says “open 7 days, full hours TBA” — so the schedule is not settled. Check before you walk down. A correction: this page previously described Brandy’s as a relocation of the Upper East Side piano bar of the same name. We cannot verify that, and Brandy’s Piano Bar on East 84th Street is still open and trading independently. The claim is removed.

One block off, worth the walk
Stone Street’s best-value deals are mostly a two-minute walk away. See also our NYC oyster happy hour guide.
Fraunces Tavern On now
The Verdict: the best happy-hour deal within three minutes of Stone Street is not on Stone Street. $1.50 oysters, Monday to Friday 4–7pm, plus a $7 Trillium off the party pump, $9 SingleCut, a $14 Irish Mule and an Escorihuela Malbec down to $12 from $15. The Honest Caveat, twice: there is a six-oyster minimum, and the deal runs in the Independence Bar and Lafayette’s Hideout Bar only — not the Tallmadge or Bissell rooms, not the upstairs piano bar, not the Dingle Whiskey Bar. Those two bars are also walk-in only, no reservations. The Local Move: if you miss the window, the $15 raw oyster special — three PEI oysters and a pint of Wolfhound Oyster Stout — runs all day. The Why: George Washington said goodbye to his officers upstairs in 1783, and you can eat a dollar-fifty oyster underneath it.
frauncestavern.com · See our $1 and $2 oyster happy hours in NYC
Broadstone Bar & Kitchen On now
The Verdict: six and a half hours of happy hour, every single day, one block off the cobblestones. The menu says only “every day till 6pm” — and they open at 11:30am, so that is the start. $7 Broadstone Ale or Lager, $9 Surf Side iced tea, $10 wines (Oyster Bay sauvignon blanc, Kendall-Jackson riesling, Josh merlot), and $12 cocktails including the Market Spike lemonade with tequila, vodka or bourbon, and an Aperol Spritz. The Why: on a Saturday afternoon, when Stone Street is three deep at the picnic tables and nobody there is running a deal, this is a two-minute walk to a $7 pint. Worth It. The Honest Caveat: the $1 wings they promote on social carry no published time or conditions, so do not plan around them.
broadstonenyc.com · See our FiDi happy hour guide
Continental Sports Lounge On now
The Verdict: the only room near Stone Street running a genuine all-day deal, four days a week — and our advertiser, which is why we are careful with it. Monday to Thursday the specials run open to close: that is eleven hours of $5 beer on a Monday, or a $15 beer-and-shot on Taco Tuesday. Friday narrows to a 4–6pm FryBar window; Saturday and Sunday it flips to a 7pm–close late-night happy hour. The Local Move: a three-minute walk from the cobblestones on Beaver Street, with actual screens and actual sound — if you came downtown for a game rather than for a picnic table, this is the move. The Honest Caveat: the specials sheet nominally runs to midnight, but the room closes at 11pm Sunday to Wednesday, so we run the badge to 11pm — it will never tell you a deal is live while the doors are shut.
The Dead Rabbit On now
The Verdict: included because people keep asking, and the honest answer is that The Dead Rabbit does not run a happy hour. What it runs, weekdays between 4 and 5pm in the ground-floor Taproom, is a free snack with every liquor purchase — your choice of a boiled egg, a fried clam or a fried oyster. That is charming and it is not a discount, and we are not going to dress it up as one. Worth It anyway: this is one of the best bars in the world and it is four minutes from Stone Street. Go for the Irish Coffee, pay full price, and enjoy it. Skip It if you are counting dollars — walk to Fraunces for the $1.50 oysters instead.

Stone Street happy hour: FAQ
What is the best happy hour on Stone Street?
Route 66 has the most reliable one: Monday to Friday 3–7pm, $6 beer, $8 well drinks, $9 wine and a $12 beer-and-shot, all printed on its own menu — and on Tuesdays that pricing runs all day. For value, Adrienne’s Pizzabar is the pick: 3–6pm gets $6 drafts, $8 wine and a $12 twelve-inch bar pie. The cheapest drink-and-food combination near the block is Fraunces Tavern’s $1.50 oysters (six minimum), Monday to Friday 4–7pm, two blocks south.
What time does happy hour start on Stone Street?
Most Stone Street happy hours run between 3pm and 7pm. Mad Dog & Beans starts earliest at 2:30pm (Monday to Thursday, at the bar only), Havana Social runs the longest window at 2–7pm Sunday to Wednesday, and Broadstone one block west starts from open at 11:30am and runs to 6pm every day. Harry’s Side Bar is the only one that comes back for a second window, 10–11pm nightly.
Which Stone Street bars have closed?
The block has turned over hard. Daisy Duke’s Honky Tonk opened at 47 Stone Street in late 2024 and is already gone — Brandy’s has the space. Gran Vía at 57 Stone closed and is now Mexi. Underdog at 55 Stone became The Bedford in December 2024. Financier Patisserie at 62 Stone is now Harry’s Side Bar. Etrusca and then Grievous Angel both closed at 53 Stone. Nearby, Bavaria Bier Haus on South William Street, Vintry Wine & Whisky and Pier A are all closed and still appear in other guides — do not go looking for them.
When is Stone Street Oktoberfest 2026?
The organisers have confirmed it returns for five Saturdays from September 2026, from noon, on the Stone Street block between Broad Street and Hanover Square. Specific dates have not been published yet, and their own page contradicts itself on the closing time (noon–11pm in one place, noon–10pm in another). Entry is free; food, steins and wursts are sold by the restaurants on the block. In 2024 it ran six Saturdays from 21 September, and 2025 was extended mid-season, so treat any date you see quoted elsewhere as a guess until stonestreetnyc.com posts the calendar.
When are the outdoor picnic tables out on Stone Street?
Nobody publishes a Stone Street-specific date, and we are not going to invent one. What is documented: the block advertises outdoor seating “for most of the year,” and under the city’s Dining Out NYC rules, roadway cafes may operate only from 1 April to 29 November while sidewalk cafes are permitted year round. Stone Street is a pedestrian street, so which category its communal tables fall under is not something we can confirm. In practice: expect full tables from spring through Oktoberfest, and check before making a winter plan. Route 66’s beer garden is the one that says it runs year-round.
What did you change on this page?
Four things came off on 10 August 2026. Stone Street Tavern’s “Sun–Wed 2–7pm, $10–11 cocktails” traced to a March 2023 post on the block’s promo site and contradicted the venue’s own Mon–Fri window. Route 66’s second 10pm–close window appears on no first-party source. Beckett’s 2:30–6:30pm happy hour was pulled back to its published nightly specials after the venue’s own happy-hour page began returning a 404. And Brandy’s was described as a relocation of the Upper East Side piano bar, which we cannot verify — that bar is still open and trading separately. Two things were added: Adrienne’s has a full happy hour we had wrongly listed as non-existent, and Harry’s Side Bar runs daily, not Monday to Saturday, at 62 Stone Street rather than 93 Pearl.
Last updated: August 2026. Every deal on this page was checked against the venue’s own menu, site or published listing in the week of 10 August 2026, and the card says so whenever a number came from somewhere else. Four claims were removed this week because we could no longer verify them, and one venue’s happy hour was added after we found it had been wrongly listed as non-existent. Prices and hours move — confirm with the venue before you go, and tell us if something is out of date.
