Arthouse Bar: A Broadway Hotel Lobby Bar With a Weekday Happy Hour and Warhols in the Next Room
Arthouse Bar is the lobby bar of the Arthouse Hotel at Broadway and 77th Street on the Upper West Side, and its happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 5 to 7pm: $15 signature cocktails, $12 house wine, $10 draft beer and $8 bottled beer. It’s not cheap-drinks territory, but it takes a few dollars off a hotel-bar tab.
The food is house-made pizzas, charcuterie boards and sandwiches. The room to ask about is the Library, a glass-enclosed lobby space with soft seating, a restored 1920s fireplace and original works by Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat. It holds up to 50 for events; a smaller lounge with its own bar holds 30. The bar opened in July 2019, and its signature cocktails have included the Mona Lisa and the Sweet Da Vinci.
The Happy Hour
Happy hour runs Monday through Friday, 5–7pm, which is also when the bar opens. The prices: $15 signature cocktails, $12 house wine, $10 draft beer and $8 bottled beer. Older write-ups had the window starting at 3pm and prices a dollar or two lower; those are out of date, and these come from the hotel’s own bar page. There’s no weekend happy hour. Verified in October 2026.
The Room
Arthouse Bar is in the Arthouse Hotel lobby at 2178 Broadway, at West 77th Street. It’s open 5–11pm Sunday to Wednesday and 5pm–midnight Thursday to Saturday. The Library and the Lounge book for cocktail receptions, after-work groups and after-parties through the hotel’s events team. The 1 at 79th Street is the closest train.
