One venue per neighborhood. First to claim it, keeps it.
Happy Hour NYC is the definitive guide to food, drink and entertainment deals in this city — and the people reading it are locals picking where to spend money tonight.
We don’t sell the same spot to four bars on the same block. One venue sits at the top of each page — your neighborhood, and the category you’d actually win — and it stays yours until you leave.
One condition: we only sell that spot to venues running a deal worth putting in front of our readers. Your first month is free, so you’ll see what it does before you pay for it.
Every venue with a real deal gets a free listing. Paid plans take that listing to the top of the pages your customers are already reading — one paid venue per page, first come.

The actual pages. By name.
No vague “increased exposure.” Here is exactly where your listing sits on each plan, and what changes when you move up.
- 01
Your neighborhood page
Best happy hours in the West Village, Astoria, Park Slope — 54 of them live, and it’s how most readers arrive. You sit at the top of yours.
- 02
Your deal or vibe page
Best Irish Bars. Best Guinness. Best Cocktail Bars. Best Rooftops. 89 guides, and you pick the one you’d genuinely win.
- 03
Your borough hub
Manhattan, Brooklyn or Queens — the page that sits above every neighborhood guide in it.
- 04
The homepage
The front door. Everyone who types “happy hour NYC” into Google and clicks the first result lands here.
- 05
Your competitors’ pages
Your listing appears on rival venues’ profiles. Someone researching the bar down the block sees you before they book.
Plus both Featured placements — your neighborhood page and a category page, and Premium adds a second one.
A guide people trust can’t be for sale to everyone.
Thousands of New Yorkers use this site every week because the deals on it are real and the list isn’t padded. Three rules keep it that way.
One venue per page
Featured and Premium are capped at a single paid venue on any given page. You’re not sharing the top with your competition — you are the top. When a page is claimed, we take it off the table.
The deal earns the spot
Paid placement is a reward for clearing our bar, not a way around it. We sell the top of a page to venues running a deal we’d send a friend to. If yours is $2 off a $19 cocktail, we’ll tell you before you pay — not after.
We work the revenue with you
Placement is the start, not the job. We help you shape a deal that converts, put it in front of the right search traffic, and track what your listing sends through the door — booking taps, order clicks, the numbers that matter.
The spot is for sale. The standard isn’t.
Happy Hour NYC ranks first on Google for “happy hour NYC” because people who use it get what it promised. Every paid slot on this site went to a venue whose deal was worth featuring — that’s the only reason a listing here converts at all.
- Every deal is verified before it’s published, and re-checked as it changes
- No real deal, no listing — paid or free, no exceptions
- Paid placement is always labeled as a featured partner
- Buying the slot doesn’t buy the write-up. We still say what we think of the room.
What that’s worth to you
Readers arrive here already decided — they’re not browsing, they’re picking where to go in the next hour. Being the one venue at the top of a page they trust converts like nothing a paid ad slot does.
And what it costs you
If your deal isn’t real, we can’t sell you the spot. If it’s thin, we’ll say so before you pay — and help you build one worth featuring instead. That’s the trade: the standard is what makes the placement work.
Land in 2,000 NYC inboxes.
The Happy Hour NYC newsletter goes to locals who subscribed for exactly one thing: finding their next happy hour. Around 47% of them open it — every send, week after week. A trial send puts your venue and your deal in front of all of them, for a hundred bucks.
After checkout, we’ll email you within a business day to lock in your send date and deal details. We write the feature in our voice and label it as sponsored — real deals only. That’s how the open rate stays this high.

Pricing questions, answered
Why only one paid venue per page?
Because the placement has to be worth something. If we sold top-of-page to every bar on the block, top-of-page would mean nothing — to you or to the reader. One venue per page keeps the spot valuable and keeps the guide honest. It’s first come: whoever claims a page holds it for as long as they’re on a paid plan.
Which pages do I actually appear on?
Featured puts you at the top of two: your neighborhood page, and one deal or vibe page you choose — best Irish bars, best Guinness, best cocktail bars, best rooftops, whichever you’d genuinely win. Premium keeps both of those, adds a second category page, and puts you on your borough hub, the homepage, and your competitors’ venue profiles. Borough hubs are live for Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens; the Bronx and Staten Island guides are still being built, so we’d tell you that up front rather than sell you a page that doesn’t exist yet.
Can I just pay for the top spot if my deal is average?
No. The paid slots exist to put the best deals in the city in front of people looking for exactly that — it’s the reason readers act on what they find here. We check your happy hour before we sell you anything, and if it isn’t strong enough to headline a page we’ll say so and work with you on one that is. A venue at the top of a page with a weak deal costs us the reader’s trust and costs you the conversion, so nobody wins.
What if the page I want is already taken?
Tell us your venue and we’ll say straight away what’s open. Even if your neighborhood is claimed, a category page usually isn’t — plenty of venues get more out of owning “best Guinness in NYC” than owning their block. Your free listing goes live on the same pages either way, and we’ll flag you the moment a paid slot frees up.
What’s the difference between Featured and Premium?
Featured is depth: you own the top of your neighborhood page and one category page, with photos, a direct booking link and an online ordering link. Premium is reach: everything Featured has, plus your borough hub, the homepage, placement on competitors’ venue profiles, a second category page, and a quarterly performance snapshot. Featured is for owning your patch. Premium is for venues in busy, competitive areas that want to be the first name anyone in the neighborhood says.
Is the free trial really free? Do I need a card?
Yes, it’s a full month free — and yes, you enter a card to start it, the same way any subscription trial works. You’re not charged during the trial. Cancel any time before it ends and you pay nothing at all.
How do I know it’s actually driving business?
We work with you on it rather than leaving you to guess. That means shaping a deal built to convert, direct booking and ordering links so taps are trackable, and — where you want harder attribution — a promo code tied to your listing so you can count redemptions at the till. Premium adds a quarterly snapshot of views, clicks, and booking taps.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes — Featured and Premium are month-to-month. Cancel whenever, and your pages open back up for someone else.
Do I need a paid plan to be listed?
No. A Basic listing is free for any venue with a verified deal, and it’s the same verification either way. Featured and Premium are for venues that want the exclusive top spot, photos, booking and ordering links, and our help making it earn.
Claim your pages before someone else does.
One venue sits at the top of each page, and it goes to the deal worth being there. Your first month is free — see the numbers, then decide.
