Prices, neighborhood by neighborhood
What a happy hour actually saves you in the East Village versus Williamsburg, and which neighborhoods still price a night out like they mean it.
Press and media
Happy Hour NYC is an independent guide to happy hours, drink deals and the most interesting bars and restaurants across the five boroughs. We check every deal against the bar’s own menu, date the check, and point you to the bars whose deals are worth leaving work early for. Writing about drinking, prices or a neighborhood? We have the data, and we’ll talk.
Figures as of October 2026, from our own analytics, Google search results and newsletter platform.
Coming Thursday, November 19, 2026
A citywide ranking of New York happy hours by how good the deal really is. Over 300 happy hour deals, each verified against the bar’s own menu, scored for the discount against the bar’s own regular price, how long it runs, what it covers and the catches. Ranked citywide, by neighborhood and by kind of bar, with the full report free to download and cite.

What we can help with
What a happy hour actually saves you in the East Village versus Williamsburg, and which neighborhoods still price a night out like they mean it.
How we check a deal against the bar’s regular menu, and what a “$10 cocktail” is worth where the cocktails are normally $18 versus $11.
Oysters, Irish pubs, rooftops, game days. We keep guides for every kind of night, each with checked deals and times.
Our happy hour right now page shows every deal running this minute, nearest first. Handy for a live segment or a same-day story.

Who runs it
Rónán Martin founded Happy Hour NYC in 2024 to answer the question New Yorkers ask every weekday around 4pm: where’s the deal actually worth it? Today the guide covers all five boroughs, with a page for every neighborhood, a profile for every bar and restaurant we list, a newsletter every Wednesday and the annual Honest Happy Hour Index.
We connect New Yorkers with the city’s best deals and its most interesting rooms, and we help bars and restaurants across the five boroughs promote their deals and fill their seats.
We take no money for editorial picks. Bars can pay for a clearly marked sponsor spot, and sponsors are held to the same standard as everyone else: no deal that doesn’t clear our bar, no “best” we didn’t give on merit.
On the record
The best happy hours in this city are real bargains, and the bars running them deserve the credit. We checked every price against the bar’s own regular menu, so you know the discount is real.
Black Friday taught everyone to ask whether a discount is real. We asked the same question about happy hour.
