Bar Hugo: A 19th-Floor Rooftop Over Hudson Square With a Weekday 5–7pm Happy Hour
Bar Hugo is the duplex rooftop on the 19th floor of Hotel Hugo, with Hudson River views, and on weekdays from 5 to 7pm it runs a happy hour on selected specialty cocktails, small bites, wines and beers. The hotel doesn’t print what those cost, and that matters here: the regular cocktail list runs $20 to $24, so the discount is the difference between a reasonable round and a pricey one.
The room was redesigned and relaunched in May 2026 with Venetian-style lighting, mosaic floors and white-oak paneling. The menu plays to groups and showing off: a $130 Martini Tower for three or more, a $28 lobster roll, $28 tuna tartare, and an $88 ’Millionaire’s Cone’ with caviar and gold leaf. The Infatuation counts it among the better hotel rooftops for an after-work drink.
The Happy Hour
Happy hour runs Monday through Friday, 5–7pm. The hotel’s own site lists it for selected specialty cocktails, small bites, wines and beers at Bar Hugo, but publishes prices only for the happy hour at Felix, its other bar, so ask at the bar what’s on the list. For reference, Felix’s happy hour menu lists house wine at $12 and 35% off select drinks and snacks, but don’t assume Bar Hugo’s numbers match. The Infatuation says happy hour runs until 9pm; the hotel’s own site says 7pm, and we’ve gone with the hotel. A 20% gratuity is added to every check. Checked on the hotel’s site in October 2026.
