BLVD Bistro: A Frederick Douglass Boulevard Southern Kitchen With a Weekday Happy Hour
BLVD Bistro is a husband-and-wife Southern restaurant on Frederick Douglass Boulevard in Harlem, and it runs happy hour Monday through Thursday from 5 to 7pm and Friday from 4 to 7pm, with food and drink specials. The most recently reported prices: $7 beer, $10 sangria and a $12 Sistah’rita.
Carlos and Markisha Swepson run it, and they reopened it, bigger, in July 2019. The menu is the reason to stay past the deal: a double-cut pork chop, jumbo shrimp and grits, and a Southern dinner of fried chicken, collard greens, potato salad and a homemade biscuit. There’s a wrap-around bar and a chef’s table with its own menu.
The Happy Hour
Happy hour runs Monday through Thursday, 5–7pm and Friday, 4–7pm, per the weekly calendar on BLVD Bistro’s own site, which promises food and drink specials without listing prices. The Curious Uptowner’s July 2026 roundup of Harlem happy hours put beer (Corona or Copper Son) at $7, sangria at $10 and the house Sistah’rita at $12 — but it also gave a noon start, which the bistro’s own calendar doesn’t show. We’ve gone with the bistro’s times; ask at the bar to confirm the prices. No weekend happy hour. Checked in October 2026.
