Bodega 88: A Columbus Avenue Sports Bar With a Seven-Hour Happy Hour
Bodega 88 is a sports bar on Columbus Avenue at 88th Street on the Upper West Side, and it has one of the longest happy-hour windows in the neighborhood: drinks specials from noon until 7pm, every day. Beer and sangria are $6, well drinks, mojitos, margaritas and caipirinhas $8.
The food leans Latin bar snacks: chimichurri fries, mango mustard wings, hanger steak tacos, a Cuban sandwich, The Bodega Dog and churros for after. Reviews quoted on its site single out the wings, nachos, burgers and empanadas. It’s open every day from 11am to midnight, so the happy hour covers a late lunch, the afternoon games and the start of the evening.
The Happy Hour
Happy hour runs every day from noon until 7pm: $6 beer (it drops to $5.50 on Saturdays), $6 wine and sangria, and $8 well drinks, mojitos, margaritas and caipirinhas. The late-night special kicks in after 10pm — buy one drink, get the second half price, until 1am. One honest caveat: the homepage blurb still says 11am, but the bar’s own dated specials calendar says noon, so plan on noon. Prices and times verified on Bodega 88’s own specials page in October 2026.
