District Tap House: A Garment District Beer Bar With $6 Drafts After Work and Again After 11pm
District Tap House is a big craft beer bar on West 38th Street, between Seventh and Eighth Avenues, and it runs two happy hours. The after-work one is Monday to Friday, 4–7pm: $6 16oz drafts, $5 Bud Light, $8 well drinks, $10 house wine and $12 cocktails. Then a late-night happy hour runs Wednesday through Sunday from 11pm to 1am.
The room is the draw for groups: high ceilings, a very long bar, a huge draft list and big booths with their own wall-mounted TVs, which makes it a default for watching a game between Penn Station and Times Square. It fills up fast after 5:30pm on weeknights, so take the 4pm start literally. Food is comfort bar food; reviewers single out the pizza, the grilled cheese and the fries. The bar is part of District Hospitality Group.
The Happy Hour
The after-work happy hour runs Monday through Friday, 4–7pm: $6 16oz drafts of Five Boroughs Tiny Juicy IPA, Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen and Stella Artois, $5 Bud Light, $8 well drinks, $10 house wine (red, white or prosecco), and $12 cucumber gimlets and jalapeño margaritas; Thursday’s list adds a $12 paloma. There’s also a late-night happy hour Wednesday through Sunday, 11pm–1am. The bar doesn’t list prices for that one, so ask. Verified on District Tap House’s own site in October 2026.
The Room
