Peck Slip Social: A Seaport Whiskey Bar With Trivia, Live Music and Jazz Brunch
Peck Slip Social, at 36 Peck Slip on the corner of Front Street, is a whiskey bar built by two Seaport locals, Alex Davis and Learan Kahanov, who opened it in December 2024. Verdict: a real neighborhood bar in a district built for tourists, and at its best on a trivia or live-music night.
What to Expect
No happy hour that we could find. What you get instead is a full calendar: Monday trivia from 7:30 to 10pm, live bands several weeknights from 7, and a jazz brunch on weekends with the Glenn Crytzer Quartet. Karaoke nights and mixology classes rotate in. There’s a pool table and TVs for the rest of the time.
The Drinks
Over 100 whiskeys, heavy on bourbon and rye, plus the less-expected stuff: sake, soju, international whiskies, boukha and arak. The well is all Misguided Spirits, a brand made by bartenders for bartenders. Signature cocktails are named after the founders’ friends and family, including the Morgan, the Moti and the Laura. Classic cocktails and draft beer are always on.
The Food
“MediterAsian” small plates for sharing, traditional and fusion, with options from carnivore to vegan.
The Room
About 2,100 square feet in Durst’s landmarked Historic Front Street block. It plays like a downtown lounge that wants to be your local, with private parties available.
