3 Sheets Saloon: A 24-Screen West 3rd Street Sports Bar With a Half-Price Bar Until 7pm
3 Sheets Saloon is the West 3rd Street sports bar where the whole bar goes half price from the 2pm open until 7pm, Monday to Friday. When that ends, a different nightly special takes over, so there’s no full-price dead zone between happy hour and the game: on Friday it’s a $10 beer and a shot from 7pm until close.
It’s a sports bar first, with 24 big screens showing the major games, and a dive in spirit, from the same team behind Off the Wagon and Down the Hatch. Expect a young, loud crowd, wings and pitchers, and some elbowing for the bar on a Saturday. It’s not where you go to talk. It is where you go when you want the game on and the tab low, a block from Washington Square Park.
The Happy Hour
The weekday happy hour is a half-price bar, Monday to Friday from opening at 2pm until 7pm, with exclusions the bar doesn’t list, so ask before you order the top shelf. From 7pm a nightly special takes over: $5 drafts and $6 shots Monday, $6 cervezas and Espolon shots Tuesday, $5 drafts and $1 wings (five-wing minimum) Wednesday, $14 domestic pitchers and $3 sliders Thursday, and a $10 beer and a shot on Friday (Miller High Life or a NUTRL vodka seltzer, with a house shot or Skrewball). Saturday’s SHEETSHOW runs noon–7pm and Sunday brings $5 drafts and mimosas from noon. Confirm current pricing with the bar before you go, since the specials list changes.
The Room
The main room is a copper-top bar under a skylight, with the 24 screens around it. Upstairs, the Lido Deck is a second-floor room with natural light, a fireplace and exposed brick that hosts private parties and a Tuesday Dancing With the Stars watch party, sound on, 7–10pm. It shares its block, between Sixth Avenue and MacDougal Street, with the Blue Note, and the Comedy Cellar is around the corner, so plenty of the early crowd is killing time before a show. The A/B/C/D/E/F/M at West 4th Street is a two-minute walk.
