Calabrijes: A Bushwick Margarita Bar With Half-Price Frozen Margs Tuesday to Thursday
Calabrijes doesn’t run a classic 4-to-7 happy hour, and we won’t pretend it does. What it runs on Starr Street in Bushwick is better if margaritas are the point: selected frozen margaritas — lime, strawberry, grape and peach — are half price all day, Tuesday through Thursday. Tuesday also takes $2 off every taco order.
The draw is range. Calabrijes advertises 21 margarita flavors and combinations, frozen or on the rocks, with a create-your-own option. The food side is tacos and nachos first, with bowls, guacamole and elote too. Margaritas also go out to-go, and there’s pickup and delivery. The Happy Hour
There’s no timed happy hour. The weekly specials, from Calabrijes’ own Brooklyn promos page: half-price selected frozen margaritas Tuesday–Thursday, all day (lime, strawberry, grape or peach); Taco Tuesday, $2 off all taco orders all day; and Nacho Sunday, half-price Classic Nachos all day. The promos page carries no dates and doesn’t list the regular margarita price, so confirm the special is still running when you order. The Room
Calabrijes is at 234 Starr Street in Bushwick; the L at Jefferson Street or DeKalb Avenue gets you close. It opens at 5pm on weekdays and runs until 11pm Monday, midnight Tuesday through Thursday and 1:30am Friday. Saturday is 3pm–1:30am and Sunday 2–10pm.
