Happy Hour at Heavy Woods
Heavy Woods is a New Orleans-leaning Bushwick bar on the corner of Wyckoff and Jefferson, right across from the Jefferson St L stop. It has been pouring cheap, unpretentious drinks since 2012 and keeps a deep whiskey shelf behind the bar alongside its frozen cocktails.
The vibe is easygoing NOLA dive energy with TVs, a pool table in the back and the Tchoup Shop kitchen turning out Southern comfort food like a chicken biscuit, gumbo and a pork-meatball po’ boy. It takes its drinks and food seriously without charging Williamsburg prices.
The Happy Hour
Happy hour runs every day from 3 to 8pm, headlined by $2 Miller High Life cans, a $6 beer-and-shot combo and $7 frozen drinks.
