Felice on Hudson: Six Hours a Day of $12 Aperitivo at a West Village Bar
Felice on Hudson runs its happy hour six hours a day: 2 to 8pm Tuesday through Sunday, and 5 to 8pm on Monday, in the bar area at 615 Hudson Street in the West Village. Wines by the glass and cocktails are $12, Forst lager is $6, and the Italian bar snacks run $7 to $12.
The verdict: the most generous schedule of any Felice in Manhattan, and it covers Saturday and Sunday afternoons. The prices are the group’s standard aperitivo list, so the value here is the clock — a $12 Felice Martini that’s $19 at full price, available from 2pm on a Sunday. The honest caveat: it’s bar-area only, and the bar area is the front of the room, not the dining room. Seats are limited and the window is long, so the earlier you go, the better your odds of a stool.
The Happy Hour
Felice on Hudson’s own aperitivo menu says it’s available in the bar area, Monday 5–8pm and Tuesday to Sunday 2–8pm. It lists:
- Wine, $12 a glass: Prosecco DOC, the house Felice Chardonnay and Felice Sangiovese from Fattoria Sardi in Tuscany, Pinot Grigio, Cabernet Sauvignon and Felice Rosé. Outside the window the same glasses are $17 to $19.
- Cocktails, $12: the Felice Martini (Meili vodka or Botanist gin), Mezcalita, Amalfi Spritz, Espresso Martini, Aperol Sour, and a negroni that’s its own build here — Roku gin, Carpano Bianco, ume, Aperol and Nardini Chinato. The regular cocktail list runs $17 to $21.
- Beer and zero-proof: Forst lager or Peroni 0.0 for $6; Until Sunset, a zero-proof amaro cocktail, for $10.
- Bites: ricotta with spicy honey and figs, arancini, a margherita pizzetta, or fried artichokes and calamari at $12; fries $8; Cerignola olives $7. The ricotta and arancini are $19 on the dinner menu, the artichokes and calamari $25.
- Pairings, $16: martini and fries, or negroni and arancini.
The Room
Felice on Hudson opened in July 2022 in a landmarked West Village building, designed by Sam Tannehill. The bar is up front: curved wood, a travertine top under vintage pendant lights, antique sconces leading back to a dining room lined with velvet banquettes under a skylight. Opening coverage noted the designers kept the building’s exposed brick and fireplaces. Outside aperitivo hours it’s a full Tuscan menu — pastas $25 to $34, mains $27 to $56 — with an Italian wine list and weekend brunch from 11am to 4pm.
