Jack Demsey’s: A West 33rd Street Irish Sports Bar With a Seven-Hour Weekday Happy Hour
Jack Demsey’s is an Irish pub and sports bar on West 33rd Street, close to Madison Square Garden, Penn Station and the Empire State Building, and its happy hour runs seven hours: Monday to Friday from 11am to 6pm. Drafts are $7.50, house wine and well drinks are $10, and a beer with a well shot is $15.
Sport is the main event: more than 15 HD TVs and an 8-foot screen, showing the NFL, UFC, Premier League, Champions League and Irish rugby. It’s home to Manhattan supporters clubs for Celtic and Kentucky alumni, pours 20oz Guinness pints, and serves an Irish breakfast every day — black and white pudding, Irish bacon, sausage, beans, tomato and two eggs for $25.
The Happy Hour
Happy hour runs Monday through Friday, 11am–6pm. Drafts are $7.50 (Bud, Bud Light, Demsey’s Ale, Michelob Ultra and Coors Light), house wine is $10 across seven varietals, well drinks are $10, and a happy-hour beer plus a well shot is $15. The 5-for-$30 brunch drinks listed alongside are a brunch offer, not part of happy hour. Nightly specials stack on top: $12 wings Monday, a $15 smash burger and fries Tuesday, $35 wine bottles Wednesday, $30 pitchers Thursday (not Guinness or Magners) and half off a second pizza Friday.
