Space Billiard: A 12th-Floor Koreatown Pool Hall With a Weeknight Wine Happy Hour
Space Billiard is a pool hall on the 12th floor of 34 West 32nd Street in Koreatown, with 11 pro tables and a full bar. Verdict: it’s the cleanest place in Midtown to shoot pool after work, and on a weeknight it’s cheaper than the bar you’d otherwise be standing in.
The Deal
The wine happy hour runs Monday to Thursday, 5 to 8pm, at $3 off. Wine is $12 a glass or $55 a bottle, so that’s $9 a glass. The real value is the table rate. Sunday to Thursday, a table for two is $30 an hour. Friday, Saturday and holidays it’s $40 for up to four, with a minimum spend at peak times. Extra players are $5 an hour each.
If you’re drinking anyway, the packages are the move. 2 Hands 2 Drinks bundles an hour of pool with drinks from $59 for two on weeknights. There are soju, pub-grub and cocktail versions too.
The Room
Eleven pro tables, a 12th-floor view, and Space Karaoke one floor down when someone inevitably wants to sing. It’s open seven days, until 3am or later, and it books private events and watch parties.
The Food & Drinks
Bottled beer is $8–9, cocktails run about $13–20, and a beer tower is $64. The bar food is what you want between racks: buffalo chicken dip for $11, wings for $19, and a $33 all-star platter for the table.
