Poco: An Avenue B Tapas Bar With Half-Price Cocktails and $2 Thursday Tacos
Poco is a Spanish-inspired tapas bar on Avenue B in Alphabet City, and its happy hour hits hard on cocktails: Wednesday through Saturday from 5 to 7pm, cocktails are half price, select taps are $8 and martinis are $10. Thursday keeps going after 7pm with a DJ and a second set of specials — $7 margaritas and $2 tacos.
The kitchen is run by Chopped winner Abe Lopez, and the dish people come back for is the lobster mac and cheese; there’s an award-winning vegan smoked-truffle mac too. Weekends belong to bottomless brunch. One house rule to know before the check lands: a 20% gratuity is added to every bill.
