White Star is a burger bar first: the patty is Pat LaFrieda beef on Balthazar bread. The weekday 4–6pm happy hour is a reason to be early, but the bar doesn’t publish what’s discounted.
The Happy Hour
Monday to Friday, 4–6pm, at both locations. No prices posted. The regular menu already has an $11 PBR-and-Tullamore shot.
The Room
A casual neighborhood bar and restaurant on Brunswick Street between Hamilton Park and the Village, with a seasonal patio. A second White Star at 179 Warren Street in Paulus Hook closes earlier and runs more like a dinner room.
