The Archer JC: $11 Classic Cocktails, Mon–Fri 5–7pm
The Archer is the cocktail bar on Newark Avenue, and its Workman’s Cocktail Hour puts four classics at $11 from 5 to 7pm on weekdays. That’s not cheap. It is the best $11 drink on the street.
The Happy Hour
Monday to Friday, 5–7pm: bee’s knees, daiquiri, Manhattan or old fashioned for $11; Zero Gravity Green State lager $6; three wines by the glass at $10.
The Room
A dark, hunting-lodge room: candlelit booths, deer heads, a bow and arrow on the wall, and small plates built on wild game and foraged mushrooms. It’s 21+ and doesn’t take reservations.
Before You Go
Plenty of roundups still say 4–7pm and $9 cocktails. The bar opens at 5pm and the posted price is $11.
