Happy Hour
A dollar an oyster on Halsey Street, $7 cocktails on Marcus Garvey Blvd, and the nine dead venues we deleted from this page today.
Most Bed-Stuy happy hours run 4–7pm — Tulum and Chilo’s start earlier at weekends.
- 19 verified spots
- beer from $5
- oysters at $1
- 9 dead listings cut
Bed-Stuy happy hour is smaller than the internet thinks, and better than the internet thinks. The best value in the neighbourhood is $7 classic cocktails and $5 beer at Lucky’s Cocktail Lounge on Marcus Garvey Blvd, all day Monday and 4–7pm the rest of the week. The most interesting deal is $1 oysters at Selune on Halsey Street, Monday to Friday 5–7pm at the bar. And the flattest price on the page is Therapy Wine Bar 2.0, where a cocktail, a glass of wine and a plate of food are all $8.25, seven days a week, until 7pm. Below: nineteen places, checked one at a time against their own menus this week — eight with real prices, four with real windows we won’t put a number on, and seven great rooms that simply don’t discount.

Map: where these 19 spots are
Three clusters: Franklin Avenue on the Clinton Hill edge, Tompkins and Nostrand through the middle, and Halsey Street out east near the A/C at Utica. All of it walkable in stretches, none of it walkable end to end.

The eight real deals
Every price in this section came off the venue’s own menu or website this week. For more across the borough, see our Clinton Hill and Crown Heights guides.
Lucky’s Cocktail Lounge On now
The best happy hour in the neighbourhood, and it isn’t close. Nine classic cocktails at $7 — margarita, paloma, mojito, whiskey sour, a rum punch, a full Long Island — plus four house cocktails at $8, wine at $6 and six beers at $5. The food is priced like it means it: $4 beef sliders, $5 truffle fries, $6 cauliflower arancini. The local move: come on a Monday, when the whole menu runs all day instead of 4–7pm. The honest caveat: two national guides still quote $9 classics here. Lucky’s own happy hour menu says $7, and the venue’s own page wins every time.

Therapy Wine Bar 2.0 On now
One number, seven days: $8.25 gets you a house cocktail, the wine of the day, or a plate of hot bites, and $25 gets a bottle. Their own menu calls it Therapy Hour and runs it noon to 7pm every day — but the doors don’t open until 4pm Monday to Thursday and 3pm Friday, so the full seven-hour version only really exists Saturday and Sunday. Worth it: a Saturday afternoon here is the cheapest long session in Bed-Stuy. The honest caveat: in-house only, no takeout — and note the address, because half the internet still lists this bar on Lewis Avenue, where it hasn’t been for years.

Selune On now
A dollar an oyster, on Halsey Street, with a natural wine list behind it. That is the whole pitch and it’s enough. The wines are real — a Domaine du Mortier chenin and a Jean Baptiste Sénat red at $9, a Field Recordings pét-nat at $10 — and the two cocktails at $10 are a coffee-and-rum Do or Die and a White Pear Negroni. Opened June 2025 and already the best-value oyster in the neighbourhood. The honest caveat: bar only, half-dozen minimum on the oysters, and they’re closed Sundays. The local move: get there at 5 — there aren’t many bar seats.

Lavender Room On now
Half off the appetizers is the part people miss. The drinks are priced fine — $5 beer, $6 wine, $8 shots, $10 cocktails — but this is a kitchen doing jerk-spiced ribeye and whole Caribbean snapper, so cutting the small plates in half changes what the four-to-seven window is for. The local move: come Thursday and stay. The lights drop and the DJs run until 2am, so the happy hour is the cheap front end of a real night. The honest caveat: closed Mondays, and the deal stops at 7 sharp on the one night you’d want it to run longer.

The Holler On now
A dollar off is a modest deal that we’re ranking high for one reason: it’s a dollar off everything, with no fine print about select drafts or well liquor only. The daiquiris are the thing to order. The local move: the backyard, which closes earlier than the bar — 11pm Sunday to Thursday, midnight Friday and Saturday — so drink outside first and move in later, not the other way round. The verdict: the friendliest room on Franklin Avenue and open until 4am on Fridays. Their own website asks whether people still visit bar websites. Worth it.

Chilo’s On now
The weekend window is the reason this is here. Most of Brooklyn runs happy hour into the evening; Chilo’s runs noon to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday, which is the actual shape of a weekend afternoon with a taco truck parked in the yard. Weeknights it’s 5–7pm, and Taco Tuesday stretches to 8. A dollar comes off well drinks, cocktails, wine and beer — on a $13 margarita that’s modest, on a beer it’s real. They also put a dollar from every tequila or mezcal paloma toward Planned Parenthood. The honest caveat: announced a closure in September 2025 and reopened by December. Still here, still busy.

The Taco Bar On now
There’s no single window here — there’s a different deal every day, and two of them are worth planning around. Tuesday, 2–7pm: three tacos and a margarita for $20. Wednesday and Thursday, 3–7pm, everything good is $10 — margaritas, wings, lemon drops, calamari, a cheese quesadilla. Saturday is buy-one-get-one on margaritas with no time limit posted, and Sunday is $40 for an entrée and 60 minutes of bottomless. The honest caveat: closed Mondays, and the live badge above only fires Tuesday to Thursday because that’s the only stretch with a fixed window we can stand behind.

Tulum Brooklyn On now
Four hours, seven days, starting at 3pm — the longest standard window on this page. Margaritas, sangria and piña coladas at $10, beer and shots at $5, and a genuine food menu at $10 (wings, chicken or steak tacos, quesadillas) rather than the usual three sad snacks. The local move: Monday is two-for-one frozen margaritas all day, and Tuesday is $10 tacos and $10 margaritas all day — both beat the standard window. The honest caveat: the two-for-one is frozen-only and extra flavours cost a dollar. This is the Bushwick edge of Bed-Stuy, under the tracks at Broadway.
Real windows, prices we won’t guess
These four have a happy hour. What they don’t have is a published price we can verify, so the numbers here are attributed and the live badge stays off. More honest windows in our Saturday happy hour guide.
Doris
One of the best backyards in Brooklyn and the room everyone names first — which is exactly why we won’t print a deal we can’t source. Doris has no website. The most recent credible figure is BKMag, September 2024: $5 draft beers and $5 well drinks, 5–7pm on weekdays and 4–6pm at weekends. That’s nearly two years old, and this page previously carried a different set of numbers with no source at all, so we’ve cut those. Go anyway — the garden, the vinyl and the disco ball are the point. The honest caveat: no live badge above, because a reported price is not a verified one. Call before you count on it.

Bad Luck Bar
Thirteen oysters and two happy hour drinks for $33 is the most interesting number in Bed-Stuy, and we can’t verify it ourselves — the bar has no website. The source is The Infatuation’s Brooklyn happy hour guide, updated June 2026, which also lists $4 beer, $8 wine and $10 cocktails daily 5–7pm. That’s recent and it’s a serious outlet, so it’s here — but it’s their reporting, not the venue’s own menu, and there’s no live badge above for that reason. The verdict: if the bundle holds, it’s the best oyster value in the neighbourhood after Selune. Ask at the bar before you order.

Bar LunÀtico On now
The window is straight off their own site — open nightly 5pm, happy hour 5–7pm, music from 9 — but LunÀtico publishes no happy hour prices anywhere, so we’re not printing any. The Infatuation reports $9 daiquiris, $10 negronis and $2 off wine; treat that as a guide, not a promise. Why go: this is an artist-owned room with live music seven nights a week, and it’s the best argument in Bed-Stuy for arriving at 5 and simply not leaving. The honest caveat: the musicians are paid by the room — the suggested donation is $10 a head and they ask for cash. Bring some.

The Swan On now
Four hours on a weekday, 3 to 7pm, straight from their own happy hour menu — which lists exactly what’s included (Radeberger pilsner, the house ale and lager, all five wells, a house Malbec and a Sauvignon Blanc) and then doesn’t show a price. Aggregators say $5. We’re not printing a number the venue doesn’t publish. Why it’s here anyway: the window is real and first-party, the room is enormous, and it runs until 4am Friday and Saturday in a neighbourhood that mostly stops at 2. The honest caveat: ask what the happy hour price is when you order — and tell us, because we’d like to print it.

No happy hour, go anyway
Bed-Stuy’s best rooms mostly don’t discount, and we’d rather say so than invent a window. More in our best cocktail bars and best dive bars guides.
Glorietta Baldy
We had this wrong and we’re fixing it in public. This page used to claim Glorietta ran a daily 5–6pm happy hour with discounted pizza. There is no happy hour, and there is no pizza — there’s no kitchen at all. What there is: 11 taps, 22 bottles, 12 cans, a deep cellared-beer list, pinball, and a standing $12 Fernet-and-a-beer with no clock on it. Cocktails are $13 and worth it. The local move: bring food. They’re fine with it, and there are food pop-ups most weeks. The verdict: the best beer list in Bed-Stuy, and an honest bar that never claimed the deal we invented for it.

Cocktail Bedstuy
The last one standing. Bed-Vyne Brew closed on Tompkins in May 2025 after twelve years; this is the cocktail room from the same family, still open on Halsey, now trading under its own name. Several listing sites publish a happy hour here. We checked their site today and there isn’t one — just opening hours, 4pm weekdays and 3pm weekends. Go for: the cocktails, the African pop-up dinners that run Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and the cocktail-crafting class on the second Saturday of every month at 3pm. The honest caveat: if a stale aggregator sends you here expecting $5 old fashioneds, that price is three years old.

Dolores
Opened mid-2025 in the room that used to be Oddly Enough, from the people behind Winona’s. A Mexico City-style cantina that got written up nearly everywhere within a month, and the busiest new bar on Tompkins. No happy hour, and they’ve never claimed one. It’s on this page because if you walked to Tompkins Avenue for a deal that no longer exists — and three of the bars this page used to send you to are gone — this is the room to walk into instead. Wednesday to Sunday, 4pm to midnight. The honest caveat: closed Monday and Tuesday.

C’mon Everybody
A queer-owned bar and venue that has been one of the more reliable places in Brooklyn to catch a show for under twenty dollars. No published happy hour, so no deal listed — but it sits three doors from The Holler and across from Chilo’s, which makes this stretch of Franklin the most efficient short crawl in the neighbourhood. The local move: Holler at 4 for the dollar off, Chilo’s for a taco, C’mon Everybody for whatever’s on. Open nightly from 5pm.
cmoneverybody.com · See our best gay bars in NYC
BKB | Brooklyn Brasserie
Opened June 2025 in the Mama Fox space, doing French-Belgian food and ten mostly-Belgian taps with the football on. Listing sites report a 4–6pm happy hour and a second one from 10pm; neither appears anywhere on the venue’s own site or menus, which we checked today, so we’re not publishing them. If the late window is real it would be the only 10pm happy hour in Bed-Stuy and we’d very much like to confirm it. Go for: the beer list and a table for a match. Sunday to Wednesday to midnight, Thursday to Saturday to 12:30am.
bkbnyc.com · See our best sports bars in NYC
Do or Dive
No happy hour, because a dive that’s already cheap doesn’t need one. The frozen drinks come in paper cups, the dogs come in with their owners, and the prices don’t move between four and seven. The verdict: if the deals on this page have all ended by the time you get out, this is where you go. Open from 2pm on weekdays and noon at weekends, which is earlier than almost everything else here. Worth knowing: it’s a two-minute walk from The Swan, so the 3–7pm weekday window and this are the same trip.
doordivebedstuy.com · See our best dive bars in NYC
All Night Skate
The only deal in Bed-Stuy with a dress code: turn up in roller skates and your drinks are cheaper. There’s no clock on it and no posted price list, which is why there’s no badge above — but it is a real, published, standing discount and it’s more fun than four-to-seven. Bi-level, roller-rink themed, open to 2am most nights and 3am Friday and Saturday, noon opening at weekends. The honest caveat: this is the far eastern edge of the neighbourhood, near Broadway Junction — a long walk from everything else on this map. Make it the destination, not a stop.
