Where Botte began
Botte Bar is the original Botte — the Astoria wine bar and full Italian kitchen that launched the group in 2018 before it expanded to the Upper East Side, Brooklyn and Ditmars. It sits on Broadway in the heart of Astoria, a short walk from the Broadway N/W stop. The room is small and warm, styled after a modern trattoria, with a curated all-Italian wine list front and center.
The menu runs deep on Roman classics: handmade pastas like cacio e pepe and carbonara, pinsa romana, antipasti and a full signature cocktail program. It reads as a neighborhood spot rather than a scene, which is the point. Come for a glass of Barolo and a plate of orecchiette, or settle in at the bar for the full dinner.
The Happy Hour
Happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 4 to 7pm, focused at the bar. Expect reduced prices on wine by the glass, Aperol and Campari spritzes, beer and the house cocktails, alongside the small-plate menu. The specific happy-hour prices aren’t published online, so it’s worth a quick call to confirm what’s current.
The Room
The space is intimate and low-lit, done up like a regional Italian trattoria with a proper bar for wine and cocktails. It seats a small crowd, so it fills up on weekend evenings. The vibe is relaxed and conversational rather than loud.
