Looking for a drink deal instead? → Park Slope happy hours

The best restaurant in Park Slope right now is Runner Up on 11th Street, which holds the neighborhood’s only Michelin Bib Gourmand — and the detail that matters more than the award is that its supper is $35 a head and it stops serving at 8:45pm. After that: Al di Là for two decades of Venetian cooking at neighborhood prices, Winner for a three-hour rotisserie window, and Miti Miti if it is already midnight. This is a food page. Drink deals, prices and happy hour windows live on our Park Slope happy hour guide instead. Three things up front. Al di Là is not a Bib Gourmand — we checked all 93 names on the current list — and it does take reservations, through Resy, on its own site; the wine bar next door where people used to wait is closed. No Park Slope restaurant is a 2026 James Beard semifinalist, which silences every venue here; the one that gets mislabelled Park Slope is Sofreh, and it is in Prospect Heights. And Fifth Avenue has a graveyard the guides have not noticed: Coco Roco, Song and Convivium are all gone, along with Korzo and Toby’s in South Slope. Every venue below was checked against its own site or a source we validated in August 2026.

Runner Up Open now

A Bib Gourmand that closes at 8:45 · 499 11th St $$$
Supper for two$70
HoursWed–Mon 5–8:45pm · closed Tuesday · reservations only

Here is the fact this whole page is built around, and no listicle has it: the only Michelin Bib Gourmand in Park Slope serves a $35-a-head supper and turns the lights off at a quarter to nine. Runner Up holds a current 2025 Bib, it is reservations-only, and its Supper for Two is $70 total with a mandatory 20% service fee and no gratuities accepted — which means the number you read is close to the number you pay. Closed Tuesdays. The reason nobody has this is that the address is still filed under Hugo & Sons Pizza, which closed; Runner Up took the space. It is from the same operator as Winner on Seventh Avenue.

Al di Là Trattoria

The neighborhood default, and it takes bookings now · 248 5th Ave $$$
Tagliatelle al ragù$26
HoursIts own site publishes no hours and third-party sources disagree — call (718) 783-4565

The small, low-lit Venetian room that has been Park Slope’s default special-occasion restaurant for two decades, still charging neighborhood prices: ravioli di ricotta $25, casunziei $19, tagliatelle al ragù $26, spaghetti vongole $27, tagliata $36, coniglio $38, cocktails $17. Two corrections, and they are the two things everyone says about this place. It is not a Michelin Bib Gourmand — we checked all 93 names on the current list and it is not among them. And the famous “no reservations, put your name down and wait at the wine bar” line is out of date: it books through Resy, confirmed on its own site. The wine bar next door that people used to wait in is reported closed. The honest caveat: its own site publishes no hours and third-party sources contradict each other, so we are not printing a window. Call.

Winner Open now

A bakery that becomes a rotisserie for three hours · 367 7th Ave $$$
Rotisserie chicken$28
HoursCoffee 7am–5pm daily · pizza Wed–Sun 5–8pm · no dinner Mon or Tue

One of only three places on this page that publishes a full priced menu, and the schedule is the thing to understand: it is a daylight bakery that becomes a rotisserie-and-pizza counter for exactly three hours in the evening, and then stops. Coffee and pastry 7am to 5pm every day; pizza and rotisserie 5 to 8pm, Wednesday through Sunday only. There is no dinner at all on Monday or Tuesday. Sourdough croissant $5, fried chicken sandwich $17, half rotisserie chicken $14 and a whole one $28, margherita $22. It is in the old Hugo & Sons space, and its sibling four blocks away holds the neighborhood’s Michelin Bib.

Fifth Avenue

The long commercial spine, and the avenue with both the earliest-closing dinner room and the only 2am kitchen. Not on this list because they are closed: Coco Roco, Song, Convivium Osteria and al di Là vino, the wine bar next door to the trattoria. All four still turn up in guides.

Miriam Open now

All day, brunch at 9, dinner at 9 · 79 5th Ave $$$
No published prices—
HoursMon–Fri 10am–10pm · Sat–Sun 9am–10pm

An all-day Israeli and Mediterranean room at the top of Fifth Avenue that serves brunch at 9am and dinner at 9pm off substantially the same kitchen — twelve or thirteen hours straight, seven days, with no dinner-only gate and no dark afternoon. On a stretch where half the good rooms do not unlock the door until five, that is the practical argument. Lamb shawarma, chicken schnitzel, green shakshuka, halloumi salad and baklava are the dishes named on its own site; prices are not published.

Stone Park Café Open now

Dinner only, dark Tuesdays · 324 5th Ave $$$
No published prices—
HoursMon and Wed–Fri 5–10pm · closed Tuesday · Sat–Sun brunch 10am–3pm, dinner 5–10pm

The Fifth Avenue special-occasion room, and it runs on a strict schedule that is worth knowing before you walk over: the door does not open until 5pm and it is dark on Tuesdays. At weekends brunch is walled into its own service, 10am to 3pm, with a hard two-hour gap before dinner starts at 5. That makes it one of the two most dinner-only rooms on this page — useful if you want an adult evening, useless if you are trying to eat at four with a toddler. Prices are not published.

La Villa Pizzeria Open now

Family pizzeria with a real dining room · 261 5th Ave $$$
No published prices—
HoursMon–Thu 11am–9:30pm · Fri–Sat 11am–10:30pm · Sun 12–9:30pm

The Fifth Avenue family pizzeria with an actual sit-down dining room rather than a counter and two stools, open from 11am straight through to 9:30 — no split service, no dark afternoon. That combination is rarer on this avenue than it should be, and it is why this is on the list ahead of flashier rooms. Sunday it opens an hour later at noon. Prices are not published.

Miti Miti Open now

The only room here still serving at 2am · 138 5th Ave $$$
No published prices—
HoursMon–Thu 11am–1am · Fri 11am–2am · Sat 10am–2am · Sun 10am–1am

The one room on this page still serving at two in the morning, and in a neighborhood whose Michelin restaurant closes at 8:45 that is not a small thing. Modern Mexican — crispy fish tacos, pork belly tacos, chicken mole enchiladas — running to 1am most nights and 2am on Friday and Saturday, with a 10am weekend open at the other end. If you have been to a show and you are hungry in Park Slope, this is close to the whole list. The honest caveat: its own site contradicts itself in places, so the late windows are worth a call if you are cutting it fine. No published prices.

Seventh Avenue and South Slope

Quieter, earlier, and where the prices are actually published. More in our best brunch in NYC guide.

Sushi Katsuei Open now

Omakase that starts at 3:30 in the afternoon · 210 7th Ave $$$
No published prices—
Hours3:30–9:30pm · Tuesday closed, which the restaurant calls temporary

A narrow Seventh Avenue sushi counter that opens at half past three in the afternoon and is finished by half past nine — which is an unusual shape for an omakase room and a useful one if you eat early. Its own site lists Tuesday as closed and calls the closure “temporary,” which is their word and not ours, so treat Tuesday as a call-first night rather than a permanent gap. The menu page is images only, so no prices. Phone (718) 788-5338.

Fonda Open now

South Slope Mexican with a published kids’ menu · 434 7th Ave $$$
Birria de res$29.95
HoursMon–Fri 4–10pm · Sat 12–4pm and 4–10pm · Sun 12–4pm and 4–9pm · hours attributed to TripAdvisor

South Slope Mexican, and one of the three rooms on this page where we can actually tell you what things cost: guacamole $16.50, enchiladas suizas $26.95, carnitas $27.95, birria de res $29.95, carne tampiqueña $39.95. It also publishes a kids’ menu — quesadilla $9.95, chicken quesadilla $11.95 — which is a verifiable fact rather than an opinion about the room, and in this neighborhood it is genuinely useful information. No weekday lunch: Monday to Friday it opens at 4pm. Weekends run a split service with a break at 4. Hours here are attributed to TripAdvisor rather than the restaurant, because its own site blocks us.

Colson Patisserie Open now

7am to 7:30pm, every single day · 374 9th St $$$
No published prices—
HoursMon–Fri 7am–7:30pm · Sat–Sun 7:30am–7:30pm · hours attributed to TripAdvisor

French-Belgian patisserie in South Slope with the most rigidly daylight schedule on this page: open at 7 in the morning and shut at half past seven in the evening, every single day of the week. No late nights, no split service, no exceptions. If you are up early on this side of the neighborhood it is close to the only thing serving. Hours are attributed to TripAdvisor rather than the venue, and prices are not published.

The two that do not make you wait for a dinner service.

Pasta Louise Café Open now

Thirteen hours a day, seven days · 803 8th Ave $$$
No published prices—
HoursMon–Fri 8am–9pm · Sat–Sun 9am–9pm

Thirteen hours a day, seven days a week, counter service, with a retail shelf you can buy the pasta off — which is the most Park Slope schedule on this entire list, and we mean that as a compliment. Eight in the morning to nine at night on weekdays, nine to nine at weekends, no break in between. One thing to get right before you go: there is more than one Pasta Louise. This is the café at 803 Eighth Avenue. A separate restaurant address and a third property on 12th Street both exist in their own materials, and we could not settle which is which, so we are only listing the one we verified. No published prices.

Bricolage Open now

Vietnamese gastropub with a back garden · 162 5th Ave $$$
No published prices—
HoursLunch Mon–Fri 12–3:30pm · dinner Sun–Thu 5–9:30pm, Fri–Sat to 10:30pm · hours attributed to TripAdvisor

Fifth Avenue Vietnamese with a back garden, and one of only two rooms on this page that serves a proper weekday lunch — noon to half past three — before shutting for ninety minutes and reopening at five. That hard afternoon break is the thing to plan around; turn up at four and the door is locked. Saturday is dinner only. Its own domain blocks automated checking, so the hours here are attributed to TripAdvisor rather than to the restaurant. No published prices.

Union Square restaurants: FAQ

What is the best restaurant in Park Slope?

Runner Up at 499 11th Street, which holds the neighborhood’s only current Michelin Bib Gourmand. Its Supper for Two is $70 total, $35 a head, with a mandatory 20% service fee and no gratuities accepted. It is reservations only, closed Tuesdays, and it stops serving at 8:45pm. Most guides miss it because the address is still filed under Hugo & Sons Pizza, which closed.

Does Al di Là take reservations?

Yes. Its own site books through Resy, confirmed across several of its own pages. The famous “no reservations, put your name down and wait at the wine bar” line is out of date — and the wine bar next door, al di Là vino, is reported closed, which is probably why. Al di Là is also not a Michelin Bib Gourmand, despite being widely described as one; it does not appear on the current list of 93.

Which Park Slope restaurants have closed?

On Fifth Avenue: Coco Roco at 392, Song at 295, and Convivium Osteria at 68, plus al di Là vino, the wine bar annex next to the trattoria. In South Slope: Korzo at 667 Fifth Ave and Toby’s Public House at 686 Sixth Ave. Hugo & Sons is gone from both its addresses — 367 Seventh Ave is now Winner and 499 11th St is now Runner Up. More than thirty local businesses closed across 2025.

Where can you eat early in Park Slope?

The published schedules answer this better than any opinion can. Colson Patisserie runs 7am to 7:30pm every day. Pasta Louise Cafe runs 8am to 9pm on weekdays with no break. Miriam opens at 9am at weekends and serves straight through. Winner’s dinner is a three-hour window from 5 to 8pm, Wednesday to Sunday only. And Runner Up, the Michelin pick, closes at 8:45. Fonda publishes a kids’ menu — quesadilla $9.95. At the other end, Stone Park Cafe does not open until 5pm and is dark on Tuesdays.

Is Sofreh in Park Slope?

No. Sofreh is in Prospect Heights, on the other side of Flatbush Avenue, and it gets filed under Park Slope constantly. The rule for this page: Park Slope runs from Flatbush Avenue down to the Prospect Expressway, and from Fourth Avenue up to Prospect Park West. Cross Flatbush and you are in Prospect Heights — Sofreh, Olmsted, Patti Ann’s, Chuko and Faun are all over there. Cross Fourth and you are in Gowanus, which is Claro, Insa and Four & Twenty Blackbirds.
