Looking for a drink deal instead? → Bushwick happy hours
The best restaurants in Bushwick right now are Eyval for Persian, Roberta’s for pizza and Bunna Cafe for all-vegan Ethiopian — and then, if you want the version of this neighborhood that actually feeds it, five Ecuadorian, Cuban, Mexican and Puerto Rican counters between Myrtle and Wilson that no other guide to Bushwick carries. This is a food page. Drink deals, prices and happy hour windows live on our Bushwick happy hour guide instead. Three things up front, because most guides to this neighborhood are wrong on all three. We are printing no Michelin claim for any restaurant in Bushwick. Every Michelin datapoint we could find for this neighborhood traces back to a single article dated May 2021 — one that still lists Blanca at two stars — and we will not repeat a five-year-old award as a current one. No Bushwick restaurant is a 2026 James Beard semifinalist either, checked against the full list. And L’imprimerie closed after a 1 July 2026 health inspection while its own website still advertises daily hours, which is the lesson of this whole page: a live website is not evidence of a live restaurant. Every venue below was checked against its own site or its Google listing in August 2026.

Map: where these 15 restaurants are
Almost everything here is walkable from the L at Jefferson St, DeKalb Ave or Myrtle-Wyckoff. The Gates Avenue and Myrtle Avenue rooms are the ones worth the extra ten minutes.
Pins are numbered to match the table above – tap any pin for directions.
The four everyone names
The ones you have already heard of, with the corrections attached. For the wider city list see our best restaurants in NYC guide.
Roberta’s Open now
The restaurant that made this a destination, and it is still the honest answer to “where do I eat in Bushwick.” Wood-fired pizza out of a cinderblock building on Moore Street with a back yard, a tiki bar and a radio station. Two things worth knowing. The prices live inside PDF menus rather than on the page, so we are not printing numbers we cannot stand behind. And the Bib Gourmand you have read about is a 2021 fact — we could not verify it against the current guide, so we are not claiming it. Go for the pizza and the yard, which are the reasons anyway. Weekends open at 11am, and that is the local move: the queue is a dinner problem, not a lunch one.

Eyval Open now
The most ambitious cooking on this list and the shortest window to get it — four hours a night, six nights, and nothing at lunch. Modern Persian on Bogart Street, one block from Roberta’s, which is exactly why it is here: if the Morgan Ave strip counts as Bushwick for Roberta’s, it counts for Eyval too. Sunday is the underrated night, opening an hour earlier at 5pm and closing at 9:30. The honest caveat is that no prices are published anywhere, so go expecting a real bill.

Bunna Cafe Open now
Open since 2011 and entirely plant-based, which in 2011 was a much stranger thing to be. The detail nobody prints: there is a coffee ceremony on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 5pm, and it is the reason to plan around this place rather than fall into it. The honest caveat comes straight from the restaurant — first come, first served, no reservations, and a typical wait of 25 to 30 minutes. Groups over seven should call ahead. The weekend splits into brunch and dinner with a hard gap in between: Saturday shuts at 4pm and reopens at 5, Sunday at 4:30.

Mominette Open now
The neighborhood’s fallback French room, and one of only two places on this page that publishes a full set of prices — duck confit $29, burger $18, lamb $40, eggs benedict $17. That transparency is worth something here. The garden is the reason to come and the reason to book in summer. Note the odd clock: dinner starts at 4pm and stops at 9:35 most nights, which is early for a bistro, and lunch runs on Friday only, 12:30 to 3:15. Weekend brunch is 10am to 3:15pm, and the gap between brunch and dinner is 45 minutes.

The Latin American block nobody covers
Five Ecuadorian, Cuban, Mexican and Puerto Rican rooms between Myrtle, Gates and Wilson. This is the half of Bushwick the trend pieces skip. Also worth a look on this stretch: La Hueca Ecuatoriana at 1443 Myrtle, two doors from La Isla, and Inca Chicken at 122 Wyckoff — neither publishes hours, so neither gets a card here.
La Caleta Ecuatoriana Open now
An Ecuadorian seafood house on Gates Avenue that opens at 11 and shuts at 8, seven days. That closing time is the whole character of the place: it is cooking for the neighborhood’s working schedule, not for a night out, and if you turn up at 9 looking for dinner you have misread it. It also trades as La Caleta Manabita, which is worth knowing if you are searching for it. No prices are published anywhere — not on the site, not on a delivery app, nowhere.
El Encebollado de Rossy Open now
A restaurant named after a dish — encebollado is Ecuador’s fish and onion soup, and naming the whole place after it is a statement of intent. Open at 9am on a Saturday and still going at 11:30 at night, which is an institution’s schedule rather than a restaurant’s. One thing to get right before you go: the address is 293 Wyckoff Avenue, not 238. Grubhub and Seamless both carry the wrong number and have for a while. No prices are published anywhere.

La Mesita Open now
Twelve hours a day, seven days a week, on the Myrtle Avenue strip — and that alone puts it ahead of most of this list for sheer usefulness. It is the one on this page you can reach at almost any hour you are likely to want it. Also listed as La Mesita Authentic Mexican Restaurant. The honest caveat is the same as most of this section: no prices published, cash-friendly, and the menu is on a board rather than a website.

Tico’s Cuban-American Cafetería Open now
A Cuban cafetería that closes at four in the afternoon every single day, which tells you exactly what it is: a sandwich and coffee room for people who are awake in the morning, not a dinner plan. Thursday it opens an hour earlier at 8. It also trades as T/co, so do not be thrown if the sign and the search result disagree. No prices published.

La Isla
A cuchifritos-lineage Puerto Rican counter on Myrtle, and the kind of room the trend pieces drive straight past on their way to Bogart Street. Now the part that matters, because guides get this wrong constantly: there are three separate businesses trading as some version of “La Isla” and they are not the same restaurant. This one is 1439 Myrtle Ave. There is a different, Dominican La Isla Restaurant at 293 Broadway, and a La Isla Cuchifritos at 6 Graham Ave, which is East Williamsburg and a different neighborhood entirely. Search the address, not the name. Its own ordering page lists it as open all day, seven days, with no clock times, so we are not inventing a window for it.

Wyckoff and Wilson
The strip everyone walks down after the L. Also here: Chilangos Taqueria at 295 Wyckoff, which sells esquites at $7 and guacamole at $12 but publishes no hours, and Curry Leaf at 435 Menahan, open noon to 10pm daily.
Mesa Azteca Open now
The most guide-ready Mexican room on the Wyckoff strip — its own site, a live ordering page and an OpenTable listing, which is unusual around here. It opens at 4pm on weekdays, so it is a dinner room and not a lunch counter, and it runs to midnight on Friday and Saturday. One honest caveat: its website and its own ordering page publish different hours — the ordering page opens an hour earlier on weekdays and closes 30 to 60 minutes sooner. We are printing the restaurant’s own website, which is the rule, but call if you are cutting it fine.
Klom Klorm Open now
Seven days, one continuous shift, and an oddly precise 10:15pm close — no split service, no dark afternoon, which on this stretch of Wyckoff is genuinely useful. The menu is served as images and PDFs, so there are no prices we can quote. One thing to flag: the site contradicts itself, with the main hours block saying 10:15pm and the fine print saying 11:30pm. We are printing the earlier close, because that is the one that will not strand you.
Fukurou Brooklyn Open now
A ramen shop that shuts for an hour in the middle of the afternoon, which is the tell that it is cooking for itself rather than for the Wyckoff foot traffic. The door genuinely locks from 3:30 to 4:30 six days a week; Monday is the exception and runs straight through. Mushroom shoyu, seafood spicy miso and the kakuni don are the ones people name. One critical disambiguation: the Fukurou at 87 MacDougal Street in Manhattan is closed. This is the Wilson Avenue one and it is open.

Daytime, and the ones worth the detour
Breakfast, an $80 seafood tower and a Honduran soup house. See also our best brunch in NYC guide.
Pitanga Open now
Self-described as a vegetable-forward, Brazilian-inspired restaurant, and it shuts at four in the afternoon every single day of the week — so this is a breakfast and brunch entry, and any guide calling it a dinner spot has not read the hours. Tuesday to Friday it opens at 8, which makes it one of the only real morning options on this page. Kale Caesar, French toast, beet salad and the Green Paradise are the dishes named on the site; prices sit behind an ordering widget and are not published.
pitangabk.com · See our best brunch in NYC
Seawolf
The other place on this page that publishes real prices, and they are worth reading as a statement: an $80 seafood tower in Bushwick, lobster scampi at $35, and chicken and waffles at $28 on the brunch menu. That last number is the tell — brunch is the real business here, whatever the dinner menu says. Hand-drawn sea creature murals, a recent renovation, and a room that is trying harder than the block requires. The honest caveat is a real one: Seawolf publishes no hours anywhere on its own site. Call first.
seawolfbk.com · See our best seafood restaurants in NYC
K Sopa de Caracol
If this page has a reason to exist, this is it. A Honduran conch-soup house on Knickerbocker Avenue — sopa de caracol is the national dish and the thing the restaurant is named for — and it appears on no other Bushwick restaurant guide we could find. That is not because it is obscure to the people who live here. It is because it does not have a website, does not publish hours, does not publish prices, and therefore does not exist to anything that builds a list by scraping. Two honest caveats. The legal and menu name is K Sopa de Caracol, with the K, which matters if you are searching. And its own ordering page currently says it is not accepting online orders, which is not evidence of a closure — but call before you make the trip.

Union Square restaurants: FAQ
What are the best restaurants in Bushwick?
Eyval on Bogart St is the most ambitious cooking, open six nights for dinner only. Roberta’s on Moore St is the wood-fired pizza everyone means. Bunna Cafe on Flushing Ave has been all-vegan Ethiopian since 2011. Mominette on Knickerbocker is the French bistro with a garden and the clearest prices. Beyond those four, the Ecuadorian, Cuban and Puerto Rican counters between Myrtle and Wilson are the part of Bushwick most guides skip.
Does Bushwick have a Michelin-starred restaurant?
Not one we can verify. Every Michelin reference to Bushwick we could find traces to a single article dated May 2021, which still lists Blanca at two stars — and Blanca closed in April 2025. Because we could not confirm any current Michelin star or Bib Gourmand against the 2025 guide, we print none. Ayat describes itself as “Michelin Guide featured,” which is a directory listing rather than a star or a Bib. Those are three different things and they get conflated constantly.
Which Bushwick restaurants have closed?
L’imprimerie at 1524 Myrtle Ave closed after a 1 July 2026 health inspection and its own site still advertises “7am–7pm every day.” Blanca has been closed since April 2025. Also confirmed gone: Faro, Sally Roots, Le Garage, Arrogant Swine, King Noodle and Bushwick Grind. Cafe Erzulie and Carmelo’s both look closed on the inspection record. Several of these are still being recommended.
Where is the boundary between Bushwick and East Williamsburg?
On this list, Bushwick runs from Bushwick Avenue east to the Queens line, with Broadway as the southern edge. That puts the Morgan Ave and Bogart Street strip in, which is why Roberta’s and Eyval both appear here. Win Son at 159 Graham Ave is three-quarters of a mile further west and is East Williamsburg, so it is not on this page. Michelin files that whole strip as East Williamsburg, so reasonable people disagree — but you cannot keep Roberta’s and cut Eyval, because they are one block apart.
Why don’t most of these restaurants list prices?
Because they never have. The Latin American counters on Myrtle, Gates and Wilson run on cash, printed menus and word of mouth, and nobody has ever typed their prices into the internet. Only two restaurants on this page publish a full priced menu: Mominette and Seawolf. Rather than guess, we say “no published prices” and mean it — and that gap is exactly why a list assembled by scraping cannot find these rooms at all.
