49ers Bars
in NYC

No Niners house in this city, and we are not going to invent one. Here is what actually exists.

No dedicated 49ers house in NYC – Kent Ale House is the closest claim

  • 2 49ers claims, both caveated
  • 0 on the team’s own network
  • 1 dead address corrected
  • season opens 9 Sept

The short version

  • The one written claimKent Ale House, Williamsburg – “the only San Francisco 49ers bar in Brooklyn… showing all games with sound.” Undated post, so call first.
  • The Bay Area roomFinnerty’s – 24 screens, but it brands itself as an SF Giants bar. Baseball, not football.
  • Address correctionFinnerty’s old home at 221 2nd Ave closed in December 2020. It is now at 18 W 33rd St.
  • The honest pickStout Bryant Park – NFL RedZone every Sunday. It is the Seahawks room, which you may enjoy or hate.
  • No official listThe 49ers’ own bar network has zero New York listings. Every venue on it is in California.

Here is the honest version, because pretending otherwise would waste your Sunday. The 49ers bars NYC has to offer amount to two caveated claims and no genuine Niners house. Kent Ale House in Williamsburg published the only written commitment we found — the only San Francisco 49ers bar in Brooklyn… showing all games with sound — but the post is undated and the site’s current sports page no longer repeats it. Finnerty’s is the city’s Bay Area room, with 24 screens, though it brands itself around SF Giants baseball. The 49ers’ own official bar network lists nothing in New York at all. For most fans the right answer is RedZone at Stout Bryant Park.

The two 49ers claims in this city

Neither is a Niners house in the way Cleveland or Green Bay have one. One put a claim in writing and may have moved on from it; the other is a Bay Area bar whose loyalty is to a baseball team. We are telling you that rather than dressing either up.

Kent Ale House

Sound“Showing all games with sound”, per their own post

The one bar in New York that has put a 49ers claim in writing, on its own website: “Kent Ale House, the best sports bar in Williamsburg, is now, by popular demand, the only San Francisco 49ers bar in Brooklyn. We will be showing all games with sound and offering a full pub menu, 27 craft beers on tap and a wide array of cocktails.” The honest caveat, and it is a real one: that post carries no date, and the site’s current sports page makes no team-specific claim at all — it now reads as a general soccer, rugby and NFL room with 24 taps. The 49ers post may be a legacy page rather than a live commitment. Call before you cross the bridge for a big game. It is also on the Jets’ official bar network, so a Jets-49ers week could get interesting.

Finnerty’s

24 screens, Bay Area room, Giants baseball first · 18 W 33rd St, Herald Square $$$
No published game-day pricing—
Happy hourDaily
SoundNo 49ers-specific policy published

Every 49ers list in New York names Finnerty’s, and it is worth understanding why before you go. The bar’s own branding is “Your SF GIANTS home away from home” — that is baseball, with Golden Gate Bridge door handles and Willie Mays on the wall. It is the city’s Bay Area room and will reasonably have the 49ers on, but we could find no first-party 49ers commitment anywhere. Twenty-four big screens and a full kitchen. The address correction that matters: the original Finnerty’s at 221 2nd Ave closed permanently in December 2020. It reopened in 2025 at 18 W 33rd St, in the old Foley’s space. Any guide sending you to 2nd Avenue is five years out of date. The local move: they push group watch-party reservations, so call ahead and ask directly whether the 49ers get sound.

The honest recommendation

For most 49ers fans in New York the right answer is a big neutral room, not a team bar. Three verified ones. More in the full NFL bars in NYC guide.

Stout — Bryant Park

Happy hourSun–Tue 11:30am–midnight
SoundSeahawks room — but RedZone every Sunday

The dependable answer when neither of the above can promise you anything, and the honest recommendation for a 49ers fan in this city. Stout lists this room for the Seahawks — your divisional rival, which is either a problem or the whole point — but it is also the only Stout carrying NFL RedZone every Sunday, on 29 TVs and a 10-foot projector. The local move: live DJ 1–6:30pm every football Sunday. The honest caveat: on a 49ers–Seahawks week, this is very much their room, not yours.

The best fit for a 4:25 kickoff, which is when a Pacific-time team usually plays here. Happy hour runs 4–7pm every day including Sunday — half-price apps, $5–$6 drafts, $7 wells — landing exactly on the late window, with a second one midnight to 3am Thursday and Friday. Thirty-plus TVs and two jumbotrons, so a neutral game will be on somewhere.

SoundBills room, but the glass goes round

Seventy-plus screens and a video wall, and the only bar in this guide whose own site names the team it belongs to — the “Official Buffalo Bills Backers BAR in FiDi NYC.” That matters to a 49ers fan for the obvious reason: with that much glass, every other game still gets a screen, and downtown has nothing else close to this size. The local move: three blocks from the 2/3 at Wall St, and unlike the rest of FiDi it does not empty out at 6pm on a weekend. The honest caveat: if the Bills are playing, the video wall is spoken for.

Watching the 49ers in NYC: FAQ

Is there a 49ers bar in NYC?

Not a dedicated one in the way Cleveland, Green Bay or Buffalo fans have. The closest is Kent Ale House at 51 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg, whose own website carries a post reading “the only San Francisco 49ers bar in Brooklyn. We will be showing all games with sound.” That post is undated and the site’s current sports page does not repeat the claim, so call before travelling. The 49ers’ own official bar network has no New York listings at all.

Is Finnerty’s a 49ers bar?

It is a Bay Area bar, which is not quite the same thing. Its own branding is “Your SF GIANTS home away from home” – baseball – with Golden Gate Bridge door handles and Willie Mays art. It has 24 big screens and a full kitchen and will reasonably show the 49ers, but we found no first-party 49ers commitment. It pushes group watch-party reservations, so the useful move is to call and ask directly whether the 49ers get sound.

What is the current address for Finnerty’s?

18 W 33rd Street, near Herald Square, in the former Foley’s space. The original Finnerty’s at 221 2nd Avenue in the East Village closed permanently in December 2020, and the bar reopened at the new address in 2025. Several guides and search results still give the 2nd Avenue address, which is five years out of date.

Where should a 49ers fan actually watch the game in NYC?

For most people, Stout Bryant Park at 109 W 39th Street – it carries NFL RedZone every Sunday on 29 TVs and a 10-foot projector, with a live DJ from 1pm to 6:30pm. One thing to weigh: Stout designates that room for Seattle Seahawks fans, so on a divisional week it is theirs. Overlook at 225 E 44th Street is the better call for a 4:25pm kickoff, with happy hour 4-7pm every day including Sunday.

Is there a 49ers supporters club in NYC?

There are signs of one – a “9er Empire NYC Chapter” Instagram account exists, consistent with the national Niner Empire chapter structure, and a NYC 49ers fans Facebook group is active. We could not confirm which bar, if any, either currently uses. If you are a member and they have a home bar in 2026, tell us and we will list it.
