The place to watch Chelsea in NYC is The Football Factory at Legends at 6 W 33rd St, official home of the New York Blues — America's oldest Chelsea supporters club, founded in 1998 and one of only 32 Platinum branches worldwide. Doors are 7am on Saturday and 9am on Sunday. Here is the part that no other guide mentions and that will ruin your afternoon: it closes at 7pm both weekend days. For an evening kickoff you want Banter in Williamsburg, which opens fifteen minutes before any kick-off and stays open. Best deal of the six is Rivercrest in Astoria — $6 drafts and $12 cocktails, weekdays until 7pm. Below: six Chelsea FC bars NYC has verified, and what each actually publishes.

The New York Blues' home
America's oldest Chelsea supporters club, founded 1998, watches here. More rooms in our guide to the best soccer bars in NYC.
The Football Factory at Legends
The Verdict: this is the Chelsea room, confirmed by the club itself, and the single most useful fact about it is one almost nobody prints. Doors at 7am on Saturday and 9am on Sunday — and it closes at 7pm on both days. It is a daytime operation. Every list in this city files Legends under “soccer bar” and leaves it there; turn up for a 5:30pm Saturday kickoff and you are standing outside a locked door. The Local Move: the Blues sit downstairs in the Football Factory, which is 21+, while the Legends bar upstairs is family-friendly. Twenty big screens, a hundred-plus matches a week, thirty-plus supporters groups, run by Jack Keane. The Honest Caveat: they publish no happy hour and no prices, so anyone quoting you a matchday deal here is guessing.

Manhattan alternatives
Where else the match is on — including one room that is Chelsea by postcode only. See also our best sports bars in NYC.
Smithfield Hall
The Verdict: a genuinely good football room with a joke built into its address. Smithfield sits in Chelsea, the neighbourhood, and hosts nine supporters clubs — Manchester United, West Ham, Barcelona, Inter, Roma, Marseille, Forest, Bayern, Grêmio. Chelsea is not one of them. So you will get the match on one of 26 indoor screens, and you will get it surrounded by two sets of rivals. Know that going in. The Honest Caveat, direct from their own football page: the fixtures listing does not guarantee a TV for every game. Email ahead for anything you care about. They also publish no opening hours whatsoever, and the widely-quoted $10 spritz happy hour is nowhere on their site. Go Here Instead on a matchday: 33rd Street.

Amity Hall Downtown On now
The Verdict: the best neutral room downtown for a late kickoff, with two of the largest projector screens in Greenwich Village and ten-plus TVs around them. Happy hour runs noon to seven, Monday to Friday — the window is on their own site, the pricing is not, so we will tell you drafts run $8–$10 on the standing menu and leave it there. The Local Move is the food calendar: $1 wings Monday, $5 build-your-own burgers Tuesday, $5 snack wraps and half-price wine on Wednesday, $40 beer towers Thursday, all 5–11pm. The Honest Caveat: it opens at 11am on Saturday and Sunday, so it is no use for a morning Chelsea game. It is also Manchester City's official home room, which may or may not bother you.

Brooklyn, Queens and across the river
Three rooms outside Manhattan, one of them officially designated by the club. More in our Brooklyn and Queens guides.
Banter
The Verdict: the Brooklyn answer, and the one that solves the problem Legends creates. Banter's own site commits to opening fifteen minutes before kick-off for all Premier League and international soccer, and unlike the Chelsea home room it is still open at night. Posted hours are 2pm to midnight; the early policy overrides them. Twenty-four taps, breakfast until 11am, around eighty standing, foosball and darts, a CNN top-ten American sports bar by their own citation. The Honest Caveat: it is a small room and it is Brooklyn Spurs' home, so pick your fixture. No phone published — walk in or don't.

Rivercrest On now
The Verdict: the biggest and best-value room on this page, three thousand square feet indoors and out, and the only venue in this research that says in writing it shows matches with the sound on. Happy hour is properly good — $6 sixteen-ounce drafts, $12 cocktails on tap, $7 wine, $5 Jäger shots — running from open until 7pm Monday to Friday and again 10pm to 2am Monday to Thursday. Monday adds a burger, fries and a draft for $18. The Honest Caveat, and it is the one that matters: the door is 11am on Saturday and Sunday and the happy hour is weekdays only. So this is a midweek Champions League room, not a Saturday morning one. Reservations taken, which almost nowhere on this page does.

Mulligan's
The Verdict: officially the New York Blues' second room — they call it their brother pub in central Hoboken, run by a Chelsea supporter they nickname the Beer Hunter. It is also, unavoidably, in New Jersey. PATH from World Trade Center or 33rd Street, about twenty minutes door to door, which for a lot of downtown Chelsea fans is genuinely faster than getting to 33rd and Fifth. The Local Move: full Irish breakfast served all day, every day, which is the correct fuel for a 10am kickoff. The Honest Caveat, straight from the club: open for all 10am and later kickoffs. Not the 7:30am slot. And their own fixtures page still lists a Chelsea game against Luton, who have not been in the Premier League since 2024 — so do not trust that page for times.

Watching Chelsea in NYC: FAQ
Where is the official Chelsea supporters club bar in NYC?
The Football Factory at Legends, 6 W 33rd St at Fifth Avenue, home of the New York Blues. Founded in 1998, it is America's oldest Chelsea supporters club and holds Chelsea Platinum status, one of 32 branches worldwide with that designation. The Blues watch on the lower level, which is 21+; the Legends bar upstairs is family-friendly. Membership is $15 individual or $30 family.
What time does The Football Factory at Legends open and close?
It opens 7am on Saturday and 9am on Sunday, and noon Monday to Friday. Critically, it closes at 7pm on both Saturday and Sunday. That 7am Saturday door is the earliest published opening of any bar in Manhattan and covers a 7:30am kickoff, but the 7pm close means it cannot show you a weekend evening fixture. For those, go to Banter in Williamsburg or Amity Hall Downtown.
Is Smithfield Hall a Chelsea bar?
No, despite being in the Chelsea neighbourhood. Smithfield hosts nine supporters clubs on its own listing — Manchester United, West Ham, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Roma, Marseille, Nottingham Forest, Bayern and Grêmio — and Chelsea is not among them. The match will usually be on one of its 26 indoor screens, but their own football page warns that a fixture listing does not guarantee a TV, so email ahead.
Where can Chelsea fans watch in Brooklyn or Queens?
Banter at 132 Havemeyer St in Williamsburg, which publishes a policy of opening 15 minutes before kick-off for any Premier League fixture. Or Rivercrest at 33-15 Ditmars Blvd in Astoria, a 3,000 sq ft room that shows matches with the sound on and runs $6 drafts, $12 cocktails and $7 wine from open until 7pm on weekdays. Rivercrest opens at 11am on weekends, so it is a midweek and evening option, not a morning one.
Can you drink at a 7:30am Chelsea kickoff in New York?
Not for the first half hour. New York State licenses on-premises alcohol from 8am Monday through Saturday, and not until 10am on Sunday, across all five boroughs. So a 7:30am Saturday kickoff starts dry and the taps open at 8am; a 7:30am Sunday kickoff means no alcohol until 10am. This is why Legends opens at 7am on Saturday but only 9am on Sunday — there is no point opening earlier.
