For a 7:30am kickoff the only Manhattan room with a published early door is The Football Factory at Legends, at 7am on Saturdays. One thing to unlearn first: the Smithfield happy hour repeated across every soccer-bar list in this city does not appear anywhere on Smithfield's own website. The Verdict: this is the United room in New York and has been for over a decade. The New York Reds meet here and Smithfield says the thing you actually want to hear, in writing on its own site: open for every Manchester United game no matter what the time. Hard specs, also first-party: 26 TVs and two bars inside across 27 tables, another eight screens and nine heated tables outside. The Local Move: a One United USA membership gets you 10% off food and drink that isn't already discounted — the only verified supporter discount we found on any United bar in this city. The Honest Caveat, twice over. Smithfield publishes no opening hours anywhere, so “any time” is a promise without a number — ring 212-929-9677 before a dawn kickoff. And the $10 spritz happy hour you will see quoted for this bar all over the internet appears nowhere on their site. We looked three times. Do not turn up expecting it.

Long Acre Tavern
The Verdict: the room with the best credential of any bar on this page. Manchester United's own official USA account has promoted events here — a Wes Brown Q&A, then Harry Maguire in June 2026 — hosted for the Manchester United Supporters Club. That is the club putting its name to a venue, which is rarer than the internet makes it look. Regular watch parties are free entry. Player events are reservation-only by email and the spots go fast. The Honest Caveat: their own site gives two different Saturday opening times, 9am on the homepage and 9:30am on the contact page, so we have printed the later one. The Football Factory at Legends
The Verdict: when United draw the 7:30am slot, this is the only Manhattan room that has committed to a door time in public. Seven in the morning on Saturday, nine on Sunday. Three levels, the Football Factory on the lower one, 21+, a hundred-plus matches a week, thirty-plus supporters groups. The Honest Caveat everyone else skips: it shuts at 7pm on both weekend days. A daytime operation. For a 3pm or evening fixture you want Smithfield. The Why: no United group meets here, so you get the early door and the big screens without the Reds crowd — a fair trade at that hour.

Banter
The Verdict: the Brooklyn move, and the single clearest early-opening policy of any bar in this research. Posted hours say 2pm to midnight. Their own site then says they open early for all English Premier League and international soccer, doors fifteen minutes before kick-off. No hedging, no “call ahead,” no seasonal asterisk. The Why it works: breakfast until 11am — $8 sandwiches, $7 waffles, $4 croissants, $12 Bloody Marys — which is a room built for morning football rather than one tolerating it. Twenty-four taps, around eighty standing, foosball and darts and pinball. The Honest Caveat: small, no phone published, and it is Brooklyn Spurs' home room, so on a United–Spurs day you are the away support.

Bar 43
The Verdict: worth knowing if you live in Queens, worth skipping otherwise. It is part of the same Football Factory group as Smithfield, so the football is on and taken seriously. But two things count against it for a United fan. It opens at noon on weekends and 3pm on weekdays, which rules out every morning kickoff in the calendar. And it is an Arsenal room — its own site calls it the headquarters of the Arsenal NYC supporters club, and it is a Gotham partner pub too. Go Here Instead for anything before the evening. For a 3pm Champions League midweek game with a Queens commute, it is fine and the room is good.

Where is the Manchester United supporters bar in NYC?
Smithfield Hall at 138 W 25th St in Chelsea is the home of the New York Reds, an official Manchester United supporters club that has been running for over a decade. The national club, One United USA, holds its New York events at Long Acre Tavern at 146 W 47th St in the Theater District — including player Q&A nights promoted by Manchester United's own official USA account.
Does Smithfield Hall open early for Manchester United games?
Smithfield states on its own website that it is “open for every Manchester United game no matter what the time,” but it publishes no opening hours at all and no specific early-open time. Call 212-929-9677 before a 7:30am kickoff. The only NYC venue publishing an early door in writing is The Football Factory at Legends, which opens 7am Saturday and 9am Sunday — and closes at 7pm both days.
Does Smithfield Hall have a happy hour?
Not one they publish. The “$10 spritzes, $7 shots, 5–7pm Monday to Thursday” deal quoted on many NYC soccer-bar lists appears nowhere on smithfieldnyc.com — not on the drinks menu, not on the contact page. The only first-party happy-hour reference on their site is a news post from November 2016. What is real: One United USA members get 10% off food and drink that isn't already discounted, on presentation of a membership card.
Where do Manchester United fans watch in Brooklyn?
Banter at 132 Havemeyer St in Williamsburg. It has the clearest early-opening policy of any bar in the city — its own site commits to opening 15 minutes before kick-off for all Premier League and international soccer, whatever the hour, despite posted daily hours of 2pm to midnight. Breakfast runs until 11am with $8 sandwiches and $12 Bloody Marys. Worth knowing it is also Brooklyn Spurs' home room.
Should United fans go to Carragher's?
No. Carragher's at 17 John Street is part-owned by Jamie Carragher and is explicitly the Liverpool room in New York — home of the New York Kopites, open for every LFC game. It is a good bar with a long weekday happy hour, and it is the wrong room for a United shirt on a matchday. Smithfield or Long Acre instead.
