The place to watch Newcastle United in NYC is Peter Dillon's 36th St. at 2 E 36th Street, which calls itself the official Newcastle United supporters pub on its own site and is home to Toon Army NYC. It does two things nothing else in this city does: it publishes a door time for every kickoff slot — 7am for a 7:30am game, 8:30am for a 9am, 9am for a 10am — and it runs $4 shots and $6 pints all day, every day of the week. Not a window. All day. One warning before you set off: there are two Peter Dillon's in Midtown, and the one on 40th Street is an NFL bar. Below: five verified rooms, including one big Midtown venue that still lists the Toon Army despite the club having moved years ago — five Newcastle bars NYC can actually use.

The Toon Army's home

The only Newcastle pub in the city, and the best-value football room in it. More in our guide to the best soccer bars in NYC.

Peter Dillon's 36th St. On now

Murray Hill, the official Newcastle pub · 2 E 36th St $$$
$4 shots (Jameson, Cuervo, Jäger), $6 pints (Modelo, Yuengling, Miller Lite)all day, all week
Early kickoffsYes — and they publish a door time for every kickoff slot. 7:30am game, doors 7am

The Verdict: the best-value football pub in New York and it is not close. Peter Dillon's calls itself the official Newcastle United supporters pub on its own site, and backs it with the two things that actually matter. One: a door-time ladder published in advance — 7am for a 7:30am kickoff, 8:30am for a 9am, 9am for a 10am. Two: a happy hour that runs all day, all week, at $4 for a Jameson, Cuervo or Jäger shot and $6 for a Modelo, Yuengling or Miller Lite. Not a window. All day. The Local Move: they serve no food and explicitly invite you to bring your own or have it delivered, which for a 7:30am kickoff means bacon rolls at the bar. Toon Army NYC took the room around 2020–21 under owners Fergal Titley and Sean Henshaw, and copied Eddie Howe's habit of a group photo after every win. The Honest Caveat, and it is the one that will actually catch you out: there are two Peter Dillon's. The one on 40th Street is the NYC Raiders bar. You want 36th, at Fifth. No reservations, ever. 21+ after 6pm.

Midtown alternatives

One room that still lists the Toon by mistake, and one that honestly has no Newcastle crowd at all. See also the best sports bars in NYC.

The Football Factory at Legends

Midtown, three blocks away, still lists Toon Army NYC · 6 W 33rd St $$$
No published happy hour—
Early kickoffsYes — 7am Saturday, 9am Sunday. Closes 7pm both days

The Verdict: three blocks from Dillon's, much bigger, and carrying a listing that is almost certainly out of date. Legends' own supporters-groups page still names Toon Army NYC, and MurphGuide still sends Newcastle fans here. Everything current points elsewhere: Toon Army USA gives Peter Dillon's as the home from 2020, Dillon's own site claims the club outright, Newcastle University held its official NYC watch party at Dillon's in December 2025. Our read is that the Toon moved and Legends never took the entry down. The Why you would still come: it is a three-level, twenty-screen room with a hundred-plus matches a week, and when Dillon's is rammed for a big away day this holds the overflow. The Honest Caveat: closes 7pm at weekends, 21+, no published happy hour.

Smithfield Hall

Chelsea, 26 screens, no Toon crowd · 138 W 25th St $$$
No published happy hour — pints $7.50–$12, cocktails $14–$16menu prices
Early kickoffsNot published — no opening hours on their site at all

The Verdict: a clean, honest negative. We checked Smithfield's own fan-clubs page and it lists exactly nine groups — Barcelona, Bayern, Grêmio, Nottingham Forest, Inter, Manchester United, Marseille, Roma and West Ham. No Newcastle, no Toon Army. So this is a room where the match is likely on one of twenty-six indoor screens and nobody around you cares. Useful if you work in Chelsea and want the game on quietly; pointless if you came for the noise. The Honest Caveat, from their own football page: a fixture listing does not guarantee a TV for every game, and they publish no opening hours whatsoever. Email hello@smithfieldnyc.com and book if it matters.

Brooklyn and Queens

Two outer-borough rooms with no Newcastle group but real football credentials. More in our Brooklyn and Queens guides.

Banter

Williamsburg, doors 15 minutes before kickoff · 132 Havemeyer St $$$
No happy hour — breakfast to 11am, sandwiches $8, Bloody Mary $12morning menu
Early kickoffsYes — published policy: doors 15 minutes before kick-off, any fixture

The Verdict: the Brooklyn move for a Toon fan who does not fancy the L into Manhattan at seven in the morning. No Newcastle group here, but Banter's own site commits to opening fifteen minutes before kick-off for all Premier League football, which in practice is a stronger promise than most supporters pubs make. Breakfast to 11am at $8 a sandwich, $12 Bloody Marys, twenty-four taps, around eighty standing. The Honest Caveat: it is small, it publishes no phone number, and it is Brooklyn Spurs' home room, so the away support is built in on one fixture a season.

Rivercrest On now

Astoria, 3,000 sq ft with the sound on · 33-15 Ditmars Blvd $$$
$6 16oz drafts, $12 tap cocktails, $7 wine, $5 Jäger shotsMon–Fri to 7pm & Mon–Thu 10pm–2am
Early kickoffsNo — opens 11am Saturday and Sunday

The Verdict: the Queens room, and the one to book for a midweek European night. Three thousand square feet indoors and out, reservations accepted, and matches shown with the sound on — stated in writing, which is rarer than it should be. The happy hour is genuinely strong: $6 sixteen-ounce drafts, $12 tap cocktails, $7 wine and $5 Jäger shots from open until 7pm Monday to Friday, repeated 10pm to 2am Monday to Thursday, with a $18 burger-and-a-draft on Mondays. The Honest Caveat: weekdays only for the deal, and an 11am door on Saturday and Sunday. It cannot serve you a morning Premier League kickoff, which for a Newcastle fan is most of them.

Watching Newcastle in NYC: FAQ

Where is the Newcastle United supporters bar in NYC?

Peter Dillon's 36th St. at 2 E 36th Street at Fifth Avenue in Murray Hill. It describes itself on its own website as the official Newcastle United supporters pub and the home of the Newcastle United Supporters Club, and Toon Army NYC has been based there since around 2020–21 under owners Fergal Titley and Sean Henshaw. Be careful: there is a second Peter Dillon's at 130 E 40th Street, and that one is the NYC Raiders NFL bar.

What time does Peter Dillon's open for Newcastle games?

They publish a door-time ladder tied to kickoff: doors at 7am for a 7:30am kickoff, 8:30am for a 9am kickoff and 9am for a 10am kickoff. Regular hours are 11:30am to 4am Monday to Saturday and noon to 4am on Sunday. They take no reservations or table bookings for any game — first come, first served — and under-21s cannot be on the premises after 6pm.

What is the happy hour at Peter Dillon's?

$4 shots — Jameson, Jose Cuervo and Jägermeister — and $6 pints of Modelo, Yuengling Lager or Miller Lite, running all day, all week. It is the cheapest published football-bar deal we found anywhere in Manhattan. The owners have also referenced specials on Newcastle Brown Ale and shots during games, but no price or time window is published for those, so ask at the bar.

Does Peter Dillon's serve food?

No. They state plainly that they do not serve food, and they invite you to bring your own in or have it delivered to the bar. For a 7:30am kickoff that is genuinely useful rather than a limitation — get breakfast on the way and eat it at the bar.

Is Newcastle still at The Football Factory at Legends?

Almost certainly not, despite Legends' own supporters-groups page still listing Toon Army NYC. Everything current points to Peter Dillon's: Toon Army USA names it as the home from 2020, Dillon's claims the club on its own site, and Newcastle University held its official NYC watch party there in December 2025. The likeliest explanation is that the group moved and Legends never removed the entry. Legends is still a good big-room overflow — 7am Saturday door, closes 7pm.
